The water fills up and does not stop at the specified level. It will continue to fill up unless the knob is pushed back in. At this point, the washer does not go through the full cycle and the same thing happens on the rinse cycle.

Hello Friend, Your problem is easily solved. You need to replace the water inlet valve. It's easy to replace the water inlet valve on your machine. First, remove the two screws that hold control panel in place and tilt back exposing the two metal clips that hold the cabinet in place. You will see some wires plugged into the cabinet, just unplug them. There are two clips, one on each side. Just pop these clips off and lift cabinet slightly from back and tilt forward. At this point you will be able to completely remove the cabinet. Once you have cabinet removed just set it aside. Now, you will be able to gain access to the water inlet valve. Simply remove the hose and wires from valve and replace with new one. Re-install the cabinet, control panel etc. This should solve your problem. Happy to help, Tim.

Washer water wont stop running and switch to wash. It overflowed

sounds like a bad water valve. Try disconnecting for a few minutes. If problem continues, the solenoid on the water valve is staying open which means the circuit is not opening. Replace valve.

If you suspect you have a defective timer it can easily be replaced by performing the following steps:

1. Unplug washing machine... and pull out the timer knob. Some knobs have a removeable center cap and hidden screw. Some are simply slip-fit. Remove the knob.

2. Remove console. This can be accomplished in one of two ways depending on which type of console you have.

a. If the console has removable end caps, the caps lift off by prying on the top from the back of the washer.
The cap will pull off towards you as you are facing the unit from the front of the washer.
There will be a screw under each end cap that you will need to remove.

b. If the console does not have removable end caps, you will need to slide a putty knife under the front corner of each side and push in while lifting up.
There is a retaining clip under each side that has to be released.

3. Once the console has been released it will lift up and fold back over the back of the washer in its resting position. Use care not to stress the small plastic hinges that hold it on. They can break easily.

4. Disconnect all power plugs and remove the timer's mounting screws.

5. Reinstall reverse of removal.

I have a kenmore model # 110.26934691 / 90 series

Check the warm and hot cycles. If they work then the pressure valve needs replaced. Disconnect the watert hose to machine and make sure water comes out. Back screens may be clogged also.

Aside from complete disassembly & cleaning it, try a hot wash on full with nothing in it except a bunch of bleach.
