I have the same problem. I set the dryer for 60 minutes, and it stops with 40 minutes left. It is a kenmore 80 series.

The dryer is a Kenmore HE3. The clothes are not dry you have to start it again to get them dry. Last night it started beeping when the dryer was running.

Gas dyer not staying on, all the light are flashing

Does your model have sensor strips inside? Wash them with windex to remove any moisture barrier on them. They sense wetness and if they don't feel any wetness they make the control think them clothes is dry and it shuts down the dryer thinkin them clothes is dry.

Dryer stops but the timer continues on

Fixed! The "push to start" button was stuck. Must have been some dust. I pushed the knob a few times and that's all it took. Works fine now.

My dyer will not dry the clothes

First unplug your dryer from the electrical outlet. Next pull your dryer out from the wall. DIsconnect your flex outlet hose from the dryer and make sure it is not stopped up with lint etc. Next check the wall adapter to make sure it is clear of lint etc going to the outside of the house. If both of these are clear look inside the dryer outlet by looking in the tube where the flex hose was connected. You will need a flashligt to do this. If there is anything stopping it up remove it. If your dryer is getting hot but not drying there is probably something keeping the air from going out of the dryer to the outdoors.
