Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

26.001 error hp 4000

26.0:01 is a bad contact in the Ink Supply System for the yellow ink cartridge. (This can be caused by using non HP OEM ink)

Check that the ISS to Cartridge cable is not damaged and is fully connected to the Ink Supply Tubes PCA.
You can also try switching the magenta contacts with the yellow contacts and see if the problem stays with the yellow, or you now have a magenta problem.
If the problem stays with the yellow, then you will need to replace the Ink Supply Tubes and Trailing Cable.
If the problem moves to the magenta, then you just need to repair or replace the contacts (may just need cleaned)

Good luck !

(My money is on bad compatible or refilled yellow ink cartridges)

I was printing on the HP4500 printer, when it stopped printing and said that I needed to replace the setup printheads. How long do the printheads last, do I need to clean them and put them back in or what?

Hello,
The print heads do have a limited life, after a set number of ink drops have been printed the printer will stop until the print heads have been replaced. HP does not give the ield on print heads but usually every 2-3 years of normal printing can be had before replacement. The numbers you need are C5054, C5055, C5056 and C5057. Have have them in stock for shipping today if you need them. Email me if you need pricing or more information.
