Having finally connected my 605 wifi to my tv set up, I cannot for the life of me find how to register my dvr station, that apparantly I must do, so that I can access the tv stations/programmes. I have...

You need to get the Cinema plugin to play .vob, .mpg and .ps files, and the Video Podcast plugin to play mp4, .m4v or .mov files coded in H264

The DVR station is used to record TV shows. Just plug the DVR station to your TV or Cable box or DVD player (you can record DVDs also) and hit record. The Mini dock is used for chraging but you also can connect to your PC with it and playback video to a TV (additional cable needed).

How to Set up WiFi Using your iPod Touch & Droid

<p>Modern mobile devices such as Android-powered smartphone Droid or Apple iPod Touch portable media device seem to do your best if you connect to the Internet. Archos 605 has 2 problems: 1: can't connect to wifi network at home. This is a netgear 614 router (which is quite old) with WEP encryption. Have tried to disable all security still no joy. Have...

the issues with the pda and wifi is most likely based on the 811 standards that each have...did you compare those two for 811 compatibility?

I can't use the WIFI in my ASUS A716 through neither my work or home internet though I enter the correct passcode for both networks I always get a msg saying that I have entered the wrong passcode!!

Greetings Reem - There are two likely problems keeping your Pocket PC from connecting to either your home or work WiFi networks.

The first is that your A716 is probably still running Windows Mobile 2003 or has been upgraded to Windows Mobile 5 -- Neither of which is capable of supporting the WPA security standard that is most likely setup on your work network and probably also on your home WiFi router. The easiest thing to do at work is to ask the person in charge of the network what kind of security is used on the network. Same goes for home -- Ask the person who setup the WiFi connection.

If the answer is WPA or anything other than WEP ( or open - meaning no security -- very, very improbable) you won't be able to connect your PDA to that network at all. At home maybe you have a chance to have the security settings lowered to WEP (of course your A716 will also have to be setup to use WEP).

The other possible problem you might be having with connecting is that your device has 802.11b WiFi built in (11 Mbps) instead of the now standard 802.11g (54 Mbps). Some networks are setup only to allow 802.11g connections. Again, you would ask at work and home. Here, if that is the problem, you have a chance of the settings being changed to allow 802.11b connections.

Thanks for using Fix Ya and good luck

I m a new user of htc s620. i dont know how to use wifi conection on it . i saw more videos on youtube but their programe was not in my phone and is the wifi conection works in pakistan? thank u

Hi,

The wifi connection on your htc phone can be accessed by going to the connection settings which is located under the phone settings on your S620.you will see the option which says turn on wifi in the sub menu under the wifi, simply click on turn on,and you are good to go.

The wifi connection will only work in a location where there is broadband internet connection network which is shared and can be accesed by wifi, which is irespective of the country.
When you turn on the wifi connection on your phone,it automatically scans for available networks and you will be prompted to connect to any of the available networks it recognizes, but if it doesn't get any available network it means there is no wifi connection in the location you are situated.

Thanks and Good luck!!!!

Wifi problem

HI,
Open comm manager , and tap on the Wifi icon, to enable the wireless connection

Then click on settings and tap on wirelss lan
Check under the main tab
If you are getting the configuration setting and if they are correct.

If not tap on the change network tab and then see.

Note : WIFI lan would only work if you are near a hotspot or a wireless router. It is not dependent upon your cell phone provider

Thanks

I have a Archos 605 wifi, and when trying to save a web page to favorites the Archos shuts down and then restarts.

That's a memory error, I can almost guarantee it's an application compatibility issue or corrupted profile settings. You can try reinstalling the browser application, backing up and restoring the system, or reinstalling the system entirely and copy back you contacts, documents, etc.

Http error $code$

i've gotten that a couple times when trying to connect via the internal modem, a simple reset usually fixed it. If your wifi settings are messed up make sure your wifi switch is on, ensure it is enabled in com manager too. Also, try removing the wireless network via the software and adding it again. if all that fails do a hard reset. If that fails you are pretty much out of luck. I had two MDA's.... they both slowly got **** as months went by and i constantly had to reload the firmware, you may want to consider a different model
