You should keep your eye on the device after its been plugged to the PC it will give you 2 options "charge" or "usb" you ca not establish a connection without picking usb connection option on the Archos screen when it pops up. If you are doing so and problem still existed then i would recommend you to download the latest windows media player. Because it comes with new devices sync driver update.
Make sure you do not have any third party software running in your taskbar that deals with wifi connection if your trying to use the windows connection. this is what i do. its better, and more simple. Home Hub does not work well with non BT software.
If your not sure, turn any wifi connection software off. i.e if any came with your wifi device. and then click on the start button. and click connect to on the right lower side of the start menu.
You can use almost any wifi device with these devices. your best bet would be to let windows try to connect to your home hub.
Also are you typing in your WEP key. correctly.
How far away from the hub is the wifi device.
Is windows wireless zero configuration off in system services. unliekly. but worth a look.
I have had a home hub for three years and i have to admit they are a nuisence.
The BT Voyager wifi works ver well. just in case there is some kind of incompatibility with your device, i highly doubt it though.
Dylan, I don't know who your ISP provider is, but I am using BT and had to change to a Belkin modem so that I could connect Archos 605 wifi and Palmone. Had the same problems as you have, which have disappeared on installation of Belkin modem,
