GTCO Calcomp Drawing Board III connects but won't function...
My Digitizer, Drawing Board III model 34120, connects to my XP Home Sp3 OS, but the Stylus (Pressure pen) doesn't function. I changed the batteries in the Stylus but it still won't function. I've upgraded the drivers to 10.01 Build 19. This Digitizer is about five years old; perhaps the drivers are not suited to this board due to its age. Any solutions?

It sounds like your Pen Stylus is defective. 9 out of 10 times with a wireless pen if you change the batteries and it still does not work, get a new pen.

If you are trying to use your digitizer with AutoCad these drivers will not work and you will need to buy a driver from VTABLET.com (They provide a 30 day free trial/demo) only works with serial RS232 interface. If your digitizer uses USB then you will need an interface kit for your specific digitizer to convert it to RS232. Most new digitizers come with USB, some have serial but require you to buy an interface kit. Contact your Digitizer supplier.
If your digitizer is a GTCO, GTCOCalcomp, Calcomp or Summagraphics brand, try these guys: http://www.interworldna.com
They do not know about any other brands. Wacom contact Wacom, Numonics contact Numonics. If you have Mutoh or Science Accessories or any other brand you are on your own as those manufacturers have all gone out of business as far as I know.
ALL ESRI ARC Programs as far as I am aware use the Standard GTCO Tablet Works drivers. All GTCOCalcomp digitizers are or were level 1 supported by ESRI and the standard tabletworks driver will work just fine (This only applies to Windows versions of ARC, not Unix or other OS's)
Drivers can be obtained from GTCOCalcomp or from this link at the Interworld Site: http://www.interworldna.com/GTCO/gtco-drivers.php
If your digitizer has a serial interface use the SuperSet code 01 or 11. If you digitizer uses USB then no superset is active or needed (This only applies to GTCO or GTCOCalcomp Digitizers)
Calcomp or Summagraphics digitizers will need to be set to 9600,8,N,1 with High Resolution Biinary output to work with Tablet works. Hope this helps you
First conform that serial port is selected as NONE on digitizer manager while you running the lectra tablet utilities. If you try this already please check your cable connectivity any one of the line may be missing connection. It may work but you can't able to run lectra tablet utilities.
I have a problem with the same hardware and software. I'm using AutoCAD 2008 and when I trace an object that is 1:1 it come into AutoCAD as a different scale. I have tried different scale factors in AutoCAD and nothing.
If you are using the drivers supplied by GTCO, they won't work with Autocad 2008. They are not a fully compliant Wintab driver. Check with the Autocad software to be sure of what kind of tablet driver it needs. There is a site called www.vtablet.com that sells a tablet driver that is fully Wintab compliant.
If you need documentation, go to GTCOCalcomp.com and they have FREE documentation for your tablet. It may be a software switch is turned on and is causing this problem. Also check the driver and turn off any mapping. When you read the manual it will show you how to turn off/on the software switches on the tablet. These tablets should boot-up in the GTCO binary mode.
This tablet, when turned on,should only beep once. It sounds like their may be a hardware problem or corrupt firmware. Make sure you are using the correct power supply, these use a 12 volt power supply, center negative.
