Zanussi Aquapulse DE6544 not emptying

My dishwasher is not emptying for some reason. It just keeps going in it current cycle. I have cancelled the programme by pressing and holding the on/off switch as told in the instructions. However, is there anyway I can get rid of the water out of the bottom so that I can maybe check for a blockage or is there anyway I can start a programme to just empty the dishwasher rather than start a programme again.

- I just realised, Ive posted this under the wrong appliance. It is not a built in Zanussi Aquapulse de6544 its a free standing one. Will this make a difference??Same Problem

find the power source (usually at the circuit breaker panel)-then turn the breaker for the dishwasher off and return to on after 10 minutes and try restarting.
