Question about Washing Machines
During an attempted spin cycle, the tub made a loud intermittent banging noise while attempting to spin. It would make a short movement and that's all. It is NOT the coupler. I checked it. Is it the transmission? If so, does that mean it needs replacing? If so, assuming the cost of a new trans would be about $200 would I be better off just buying a new machine?
On my machine which is a belt-drive. This simply mean the belt has worn off. The machine still wash, but hesitate to spin. With a help pushing it might spin, but not every time.
