Question about GTCO Roll-Up Digitizer, 30/36" (RU3036)

Digitizer isn't working properly

I am only able to use a certian portion of the digitizer. I've tried to mess with the control panel to change it so I could use the entire thing but it won't allow me. It's as if the digitizer is down scaled and it effects the scale as well.

Select S01 on your superset menu first.
Check the mapping on the tablet driver control panel and turn it off. Test digitizer by moving your pen or cursor on the surface of the Digitizer and see if it will move the entire distance on your monitor, from the side to side and up and down. If this doesn't work, reset digitizer and try again.
This should be done with your application software closed. .

Make sure you get four beeps and only for beeps on power-up of digitizer. If your hear anything else the digitizer may have a hardware problem.

There is a simple way to test the digitizer through the computer by using the Hyperterminal program in the Accessories section.

Go to Accessories and then to Hyperterminal and open the program, set up a connection using 9600,n,8,1 communication parameters. On the digitizer select S12 on the superset menu and this will place the digitizer in the Point Mode, so every time you press the tip switch on your stylus when in the active area, you will get a coordinate. If you do get communication, then select S44 and this will place the digitizer in continuous mode and data will stream on the moniter.

You can then check the digitizer from for opens.

Why doesn't the touchscreen work properly?

Everything wore out. Even the digitizer screen on cell phone. HTC has a tendency to worn out quicker than most phones. Have someone to replace the digitizer on your phone. Not the LCD. Just the digitizer.

Could it be a faulty screen/digitizer?

Possibly, but more likely it didn't get reassembled correctly, sounds to me like something isn't grounded properly (which can cause a buildup of stray capacitance.)

Screen touch not working

try a hard reset if that doesnt work then you will need a new digitizer.

Memory card error

Make sure your camera can take San Disk. It probably takes a certian card or the SD card might be upside down. Some brand and models stay this fault and the problem with the SD is that it does not accept a memory card higher than 1GB. This info isn't in the user guide. Have you tried an external usb card reader?

Pull the card out and re-insert. the most likely problem is the card was not seated properly in the slot.

I followed your instructions and replaced the digitizer. My screen has been on and is still on with the wrong date and time. Do you think it just needs to charge with the new digitizer to begin working? ...

okay for the time and date hun you need to set it to the region where you are . suppose you in the UK and yr gadget is set parameters for USA the time and dates and the @ sign will all be wrong
so go to start- control panel- pick a category- choose date,time,language and regional options click regionaland language options button check if under the regional option - it says {NAME OF THE COUNTRY YOU ARE IN. if not then change it simply by clicking the drop down menu. then click ok- dont mess with the lil numbers yu see inside that panel-even if the region is ok you need to juss try the top instructions.
sometimes restarting the whole pc helps

A part of the screen wont work

try resetting it but it seems that ur Touch Panel is faulty also called Digitizer u can get it and replace ur self

pls try this way to reset ur phone through menu have u checked

Press Settings, General, and Reset all Settings.
if it doesnt help ur digitizer is anyways faulty as i told u

pls consider changing ur digitizer it is faulty following are some links where u can get an idea of the cost try apple for the warranty or ur service provider it is hardware fault may be it is covered in warranty

Try using a different stylist. They are sold at office depot, etc. If that does not work, your digitizer may be damaged or scratched to the point where the digitizer is only recognizing a small portion of your screen. If that is the case, you need to simply replace the digitizer. It's not that expensive and they can be repaired at renew electronics. Good luck!
