Question about DVD & Blu-Ray Players
I have a combination DVD/VCR and it is about 5 years old. On the front it says DVD4000.I just got a SONY LCD and I am trying to hook up the DVD to the SONY. My cable box is a DVR player as well. I have that hooked up from the wall to the input and then I am using an HDMI cable from the DVR to the SONY and it all works great. Now I am putting the DVD into the mix and SONY said for me to take the Green/Blue/Red cables fro the DVD to the SONY into Video 1. And, the Red/White audio cable into the appropriate spot on the SONY. It gets a picture and I can run a DVD with picture and sound. But, there is no color. SONY suggested that I hook up the DVR with this combination of cables and it works just fine. There is color and audio. It is no longer their problem and suggested I go to the GoVideo tech support, therefore the reason for this email. I guess the big question has to do with the DVD4000. Is it past its prime? Obviously the cables are not at fault. Can you suggest anything?
Sometimes you can get the cable mixed up on the video. Make sure you have the right color cable in the right slot. The white and red cables are for sound only and they have to connect in the same gouping as the video cables.
