How much memory is installed in your computer? You probably need to increase it to handle the additional load that the printer will require on memory. Memory is failly cheap right now and will really improve your computer.
Hope this helps. bud

Hello, I have a HP Color Laserjet 5550DN that works great. Except when I try to print out some photo's on a regular piece of paper. It says "not enough memory". The photo's are about 4MB...

It has 4 memory slots. If you can add what you need to get 512 meg, that should fix your problem.

You say that "some photo's on a regular piece of paper." , get the error, but if you use photo paper it prints ok. Doesn't make sense. Add the memory.

Hello there, might I suggest downloading and installing the latest drivers for your HP Printer. It is all explained in my published guide entitled How to Install the latest drivers for Hewlett Packard Printer!!!

This may work, it may not work but it's worth a shot ey!

By installing the latest drivers we eliminate the possibility of a software bug.
Also if it is possible try install this printer on a friends computer/laptop. Another option is to try to clear the memory of this printer. Consult the manual of this printer.

A last resort would be to update the firmware of this printer, However when doing this be sure to install the correct firmware for your specific printer. Check the HP website.
Use cables to connect to this printer until you can get it working again, maybe the signal is corrupted if you use its wireless function! Just a thought!

Thanking you

Printer keeps saying insert memory card

The message is not an error message and does not indicate an issue with the product. The message is designed to be an invitation to print photos from a memory card. Follow these steps to insert a memory card into the product. You have an hardware compatibility issue between some of your devices (maybe the printer or RAM)and windows, this cause the fatal exception in question. This is usually not a big problem, but is difficult to troubleshoot it from here in few lines. A way to fix it is doing a fresh Windows installation after you do a backup of all your stuff. If you have some spare RAM you can also try replacing them to test it. Faulty RAM causes similar phoenomena.

Error Message

I had the same problem.Adding twain_32.dll to the Windowsfolder solved the problem. For people who don't want to search for it: Look Here.
Then you won't get this error but one saying to reinstall the printer driver. Just do it and the problem is solved.
