Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone

Can't send an email attachment from iphone.

I opened up my AOL email account and tried to compose a new email so I could send an attachment (picture from my phone), but the paperclip (attachment) isn't lit up for me to click on. Does the iphone not let you send attachments or am I missing something in the settings menu?

This morning, I wanted to send a picture via my email account on my Samsung S4. I could not find any way to do that so I looked it up online. There was the standard messaging "to use the attachment (paperclip) icon. The problem is that my phone is not desplaying this icon. I have tried many things but nothing is working.

I can't get my aol email in my iPhone I have tried

*Important* Before attempting any of the below steps, please make sure your device has been properly backed up either to your computer or iCloud.
1. Confirm that you are able to sign in with the same user information on AOL's website. If you are unable to, the fix may be as simple as resetting your email password through AOL. (This step should be completed online, not on your iPhone.
2. Are you running the latest iOS? (If unsure, tap "settings" on the iPhone, then "General", and the 2nd tab within General should read "Software Update".) This tab will let you know whether or not your iPhone is completely up to date. If it is proceed to Step 3. If not, simply tap the Update tab and see if it fixes the issue. The majority of iPhone problems can be fixed with a simple software update.
3. Remove all email from the phone under the "mail, contacts, and calendars" in the "Settings" app. Once all email accounts have been deleted from the phone, restart the device and input the email information again only this time choose "Microsoft Exchange" as the account type. If you are unfamiliar with setting up an Exchange account read below -- Email: your AOL email address spelled correctly -- Domain: AOL.com -- Username: AOL username (usually your email address) -- Password: your AOL sign in/email passwordOnce the information is entered correctly, hit the "Next" button in the top right hand corner. Upon verification you will be prompted for the "Server" underneath the "Email" tab. -- Server: imap.aol.comIf none of the above fixes this issue, I would recommend visiting the nearest Apple store as they will either DFU the phone (replace the firmware) or give you a brand new phone. Hope this helps,
Jackson

New user. Want to email photo. Asking for mail account. I have Century Link formerly q.com....What wireless network do I select? Thanks, Diane

You have to program your email address into your phone is what it's saying.

So ya need to go to Settings, go down to Mail Contacts Calendars, tap Add Account.

Then whatever you email address is. Yahoo, Gmail, AOL. Tap the one you have, Enter your name, your email address, your password, Tap Next on the top right.

It'll "verify" your account, by signing into it. Once it's signed in and the email address is attached to your phone. You can then hit the home button (bottom middle), Go to your pictures, Find the picture you want to email.

tape the box icon with the arrow on the very bottom left of the pic. Select Email Photo, It will "attach" it to a new email. Then type in the persons email address, and your message, Then hit Send on the top right.

Then there ya go. Picture, emailed and sent :)

I hope that helps. If you need any more clarification for this. Let me know.

Thank you

IF YOU HAVE 2 EMAIL ACCOUNTS AND OR IF YOU HAVE THEM LINKED TO YOU IPHONE. YOU CAN GET YOUR PICTURES FROM YOUR ONE EMAIL ACCOUNT. EXAMPLE, I WENT TO THE 1ST ACCOUNT SENT A EMAIL WITH A PICTURE ATTACHED TO IT. THEN I USE THE IPHONE TO OPEN MY 2ND ACCOUNT TO GET THE EMAILED PICTURE. PLUS IF YOU WANT TO GET THE PICTURES FROM YOUR IPHONE TO YOUR PC OR MAC THE APP STORE HAS A FREE APP CALLED (WiFi photo) THAT WILL LET YOU TRANSFER PICTURES. GOOD LUCK, AND ENJOY DAVE

I want to send picture texts on my apple iphone, how do i do this? i know i can email them but the other persons phone only has picture texts not email and i still want to send pxts.

Depends what Iphone you have, they can only be sent if you have OS 3.0, and only on Iphone 3G or 3GS.
To enable MMS go to settings/messages then turn MMS messaging on.
You compose mms from the same program (messaging) but there are options there to add pictures and audio

I synced my iphone with my outlook email, but still cannot send or receive email from my phone. Do I need to change any settings?

Set up an account on iPhone:
From the iPhone Home screen, tap Settings. Tap “Mail, Contacts, Calendars,” then tap Add Account. Tap an account type:
Microsoft Exchange MobileMe Google email Yahoo! Mail AOL Other
Enter your account information and tap Save.
If its 'other', the iPhone will try to find your settings based on common email servers. If yours is not found, then you'll need your POP3 and SMTP settings. Done correctly, you'll be able to send your emails from your contact list.

Setting up a new email account

firstly you will need a account with either yahoo mail, google mail, .mac mail or AOL mail, when you have got one of those accounts you need to seti it up on your iphone, to do this go into "mail" on your iphone, it will display the 4 mail service providors then click on the one you signed up for like yahoo mail for example, it will show 4 boxs to fill so fill in each box and then click save in the small box, then your ready to send and receive your mail.

Sending emails using GMail on the iPhone

To fix the responding issue, you need to tell your iphone which account is the default account for sending your emails.

touch settings, then mail, and at the bottom of that page in the sending section it asks which account is your default.

The iphone will always use this accoutn to send emails if you start an email outside of the mail program, like by clicking an email in your contacts list or on a webpage.

Now if your in another POP account in the mail program and you click compose message it should be sent from that account.

Hope this helps :)
