I opened up my AOL email account and tried to compose a new email so I could send an attachment (picture from my phone), but the paperclip (attachment) isn't lit up for me to click on. Does the iphone not let you send attachments or am I missing something in the settings menu?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

*Important* Before attempting any of the below steps, please make sure your device has been properly backed up either to your computer or iCloud. 1. Confirm that you are able to sign in with the same user information on AOL's website. If you are unable to, the fix may be as simple as resetting your email password through AOL. (This step should be completed online, not on your iPhone. 2. Are you running the latest iOS? (If unsure, tap "settings" on the iPhone, then "General", and the 2nd tab within General should read "Software Update".) This tab will let you know whether or not your iPhone is completely up to date. If it is proceed to Step 3. If not, simply tap the Update tab and see if it fixes the issue. The majority of iPhone problems can be fixed with a simple software update. 3. Remove all email from the phone under the "mail, contacts, and calendars" in the "Settings" app. Once all email accounts have been deleted from the phone, restart the device and input the email information again only this time choose "Microsoft Exchange" as the account type. If you are unfamiliar with setting up an Exchange account read below-- Email: your AOL email address spelled correctly-- Domain: AOL.com-- Username: AOL username (usually your email address)-- Password: your AOL sign in/email passwordOnce the information is entered correctly, hit the "Next" button in the top right hand corner. Upon verification you will be prompted for the "Server" underneath the "Email" tab. -- Server: imap.aol.comIf none of the above fixes this issue, I would recommend visiting the nearest Apple store as they will either DFU the phone (replace the firmware) or give you a brand new phone. Hope this helps, Jackson
You have to program your email address into your phone is what it's saying.
So ya need to go to Settings, go down to Mail Contacts Calendars, tap Add Account.
Then whatever you email address is. Yahoo, Gmail, AOL. Tap the one you have, Enter your name, your email address, your password, Tap Next on the top right.
It'll "verify" your account, by signing into it. Once it's signed in and the email address is attached to your phone. You can then hit the home button (bottom middle), Go to your pictures, Find the picture you want to email.
tape the box icon with the arrow on the very bottom left of the pic. Select Email Photo, It will "attach" it to a new email. Then type in the persons email address, and your message, Then hit Send on the top right.
Then there ya go. Picture, emailed and sent :)
I hope that helps. If you need any more clarification for this. Let me know.

Depends what Iphone you have, they can only be sent if you have OS 3.0, and only on Iphone 3G or 3GS. To enable MMS go to settings/messages then turn MMS messaging on. You compose mms from the same program (messaging) but there are options there to add pictures and audio
Set up an account on iPhone: From the iPhone Home screen, tap Settings.Tap “Mail, Contacts, Calendars,” then tap Add Account.Tap an account type: Microsoft ExchangeMobileMeGoogle emailYahoo! MailAOLOther Enter your account information and tap Save. If its 'other', the iPhone will try to find your settings based on common email servers. If yours is not found, then you'll need your POP3 and SMTP settings. Done correctly, you'll be able to send your emails from your contact list.
firstly you will need a account with either yahoo mail, google mail, .mac mail or AOL mail, when you have got one of those accounts you need to seti it up on your iphone, to do this go into "mail" on your iphone, it will display the 4 mail service providors then click on the one you signed up for like yahoo mail for example, it will show 4 boxs to fill so fill in each box and then click save in the small box, then your ready to send and receive your mail.
I cannot email pictures from my iPhone I have taken with my iPhone, nor will my iPhone save pictures that others have emailed me.
I also have problems receiving emails that are sent to my iPhone number.
Am I just an idiot?
