Question about NetGear WGT624 Wireless Router
I bought Netgear for my pc and laptop and it works fine for these and my son's when he comes but I bought another for my partner and I just cannot get it to connect to the internet. It states that I have to put password etc but it will not accept these and states that I have to put a series of numbers in but when I first got netgear i changed to my own password etc so they should work on this new one but it does not. Does it need a driver or pc card. It did say that it was wifi enabled. Please help as this is driving mer crazy trying to figure it out. thank you
What your router is asking for is a secure wep login. You can provide your partner this number by loging into your router, and go to the securty section of the menu, and generate a new wep key. It will then generate a key, that you should right down, because this new key may block out the existing two computers that already have access. When you log into the router on those machine, you may need to put the same key in.
