It will be a combination keystroke--use the Fn key at the lower left side of your keyboard and one of the other keys (usually a special function key) that has a picture of a speaker on it. The other thing you must check is the sound properties icon in the control panel and be sure your speakers have not been muted.
Hi there. Try totally removing the sound driver first by uninstalling it from the device manager then restart your system. After that, try re-installing the downloaded driver from Dell..
Try another headphones if possible..you have already checked the speaker so half of thework you hve already done .. try to get a diffrent headphones from friends if they work .. then its your headphone gone bad & you would need to replace it.
If you still get this issue .. please write to me .. we will work together on this issue..
1. remove all external peripherals. 2. use the internal speakers 3. uninstall / reinstall the audio drivers 4. reboot system 5. if still hearing the crackling sound check if cracking sound can be heard only inside windows of even in the bios. 6. check bios hdd if in acoustic mode performance if yes then set it to normal.
Sounds like a bad AC adapter not charging the system. If a known good adapter has the same issue (Or this adapter works on another system) then it is a motherboard replacement
Check your system if you are able to hear sound using any headphone..if you are able to hear sound from headphone then the problem is with your dell speakers, else you need to update sound drivers for your system...Thanks..
