I think you're asking this to be changed because you want to adhere to some license or something. Because, otherwise, it doesn't makes sense.
You can't change the type of use as it's really a question just to keep the installation going. And I can assure you it's not violating any license if you answered either way.
However, there is one another place where Vista asks you whether it's a Home PC or Business PC which is used to identify the type of your network. If you chosen Business here and lost the network setup or incorrect configuration, you can easily change this. Just right click on My Computer and choose Properties. From the left side options, choose Advanced System Settings. In the Computer Name tab, click on Network ID button upon which Vista will ask you the question I mentioned.
Hope that helps..

In the same screen, you'll see a button named 'Network ID'. If it's not there, then don't worry. Just click on the Network icon in the system tray (the place where you'll see date shown in the bottom right corner of the screen) in the box that shows up, choose Network and Sharing Center. Here, you can change the same by clicking on the Customize links.

Ok, right click on the computer icon and choose properties, then click on advanced system settings, a system properties window will appear, choose the computer name tab and click on network ID, you can change the network ID to home or work.
The computer may ask to restart so that the changes are made in the registry

Good luck and kind regards

you cannot change the domain on Vista home basic or Vista home Premium, only Vista business and Vista Ultimate supports this.
What you can do is change it from Workgroup to home.

    Kind regards

File header checksum does not match computed one. ???

You have one or more critical corrupted file/s which prevents the laptop from booting up.
To get the laptop operating again, you need to insert the Windows Vista CD and do a Repair and if this fails you need to install Vista again.
