Red Dots Could this problem happen on Plasma Screens other than Samsung? I have something similiar on an HP 50" Model HP5060N. I've had the unit for 6 months and noticedthe problem within the last few weeks.

Re: Red Dots

You can get rid of the red dots by adjusting the V-scan voltage down, it's on the panel sticker inside the unit, you can find the test point on the DC to DC pcb, and the adjustment pot is on the same board, lower it as you watch the screen and only lower it enough to rid the screen of the dots

Re: Red Dots

At different times of the day I get a thin red line than a blue line and then a green line. they rise from bottom to top in a continuous revolution. I was tild it could be caused by the cable running parallel with a new power line i JUST HAD INSTALLED FOR SOME LIGHTS ON MY DECK.

We had same problem with our Samsung last year. When my husband called, they knew immediately with the problem was and sent someone out to replace the main board. If we hadn't been under warrantly, it would have cost a fortune.

Did you get this problem resoslved? I had the same issue a few months ago. I tech came by and took my TV to the shop, a few days later he said it was fixed as they needed to make some adjustments.....The TV has been fine up until a week or so ago and now the red dots have appeared again. Little red dots

The driver board is going bad it sounds like and if you do not call up and get it fixed under warranty, as it should still be under a warranty, then its going to be a nice hefty repair bill. Good Luck Ps Please dont forget to rate this thread
