Question about HP Photosmart 4180 All-in-One Printer
Just refilled coloured ink and it will not print , also both ink lights flashing, any help would be appreciated.
The only work around to this is to use two catridges(2 color and 2 black and white). The reason is the printer has a mechanism to check if the same catridge is being used again. SO when you have two cartridges when one is finished refill the other and use and vice-versa. This way you will be able to refill and use for ever without any problems..

don't know what worked -1.i removed the lid and restarted but again same pblm.
2.kept the lid open and in the on condition itself plugged out the power-put it back.now there was error only in one refilled cartridge-reinstalled it-viola! problem solved.
I opine the latter was of greater use than opening the lid

I do not recommend home refill kits, there is much more involved in making refills work than just injecting more ink into the cartridge. I recommend Cartridge World for ink refills because they make sure you get the manufacturer specified amount of ink and make sure that the cartridges print before selling them to you. You can get cartridges for 20-35% off the cost of original HP brand.
