Question about Lexmark X6100 Flatbed Scanner
I replaced empty cartridges, now the printer is telling me the cartridges are missing. Is the system not recognizing the new cartridges, or is it time to replace the printer?
Make sure that the cartridges you installed are compatible for your printer.
Refilling the ink could actually damage the head that is why it is not advisable to refill, this will cost you more money for printer replacement.
Reseating the ink cartridges and rebooting the whole system could do the trick.
But if not, check if ink cartridges are really defective or has dried out so you can fix a return for those lemon.
This way we can identify if you really need to replace the printer instead of jumping into conclusions right away.
