I have a1998 skidoo 500 grandtouring handles horrible all over the trail. Darts all over. Ski adjustment? Suspension?

first check that your scags are good or new , now look at alinement of skis ,they should have a little toe in when looking from front of machine, if there strighr a head that will cause drifting left and right because skis get cought in ruts from other machines and causing pulling.
,also look for worn tie rod ends, or linkage from steering
.good luck hope you have fun out there .

4 x 4 is not engageing. Mechanic told me that the electronics are not lining up the gears in the tranfer case? stated they were out of alinement. 500.00 to fix?

take it to another garage......no gears need electronic alignment,in any car.(mind you, i could do with $500........)there is an electromagnetic switch for the transfer box,but that is not $500 to fit.
just thought...i could fly over from england, fix it,have a holiday, and fly back, for not a lot more than $500.

Ok are you talking about the cam chain and not the drive chain? You cant re-aline a cam chain but you can a drive chain. Please give us better info on what is wrong.

I REPLACED THE REAR UNIVERSAL JOINTS ON MY 1998 POLARIS SPORTS MAN 500.I NOW HAVE A SERIOUS BUNNY HOP,WOBBLE,SOMEONE SAID I MUST TIME THE REARED. HELP

the cross or universals mus be in time thing of the U joint as a x the two x's must be alined so the swivel so if it has a short shaft on it take the alxe out and aline the U-joints so that when the drive line were sitting on the ground the caps will be on the bottom of the x and both x's bottoms should be in faze with each other, here is a simpe Example +------+ the top and bottom of + is stragith up and down and allows for the u joints to swivel also be sure that you have the caps in all the way and a needele bearing has not fallen down and is in the cap throwing the alinement off. This sounds like what yo have done. Next time before you remove a drivs shaft always mark the two pieces together before you remove, many people have done this so don't feel bad I did it my first time. If you don't understand this and need more help just send a replay tothe e-mail you get here.
