Does your interior dome light work,if it doesnt take the dome lamp assembly out and disconnect the wire harness from there, reinstall the fuse and recheck lights,The possible short is coming from 2 likely areas the dome light or the dimmer light, what you do to the dome light to trouble shoot the short you will also perform on the dimmmer switch

SOURCE: 2003 Bonneville SSEi keeps blowing interior light fuse.

I can think of 2 places that were probably overlooked because I've been through this same trauma myself with GM products. One, if you have a right(passenger) side visor with a lighted mirror you'll want to check the wiring at the pivot point. Two, under the passenger side rocker panel trim, there is a ribbon harness with about 15 wires within and it may become chaffed by stepping in and out of the vehicle. Both of these have a constant feed with or without the engine running.Whoops, there's a third one I forgot about. Check the wires running through the rubber tube to the drivers door. Good luck my friend, Dana

My dash light and runing lights fuse keeps blowing when I take off in my 93 grand marquee

Acquire a schematic of that circuit so you can trace the wires for a pinched wire, each time you take off something is flexing and probably pinching a power wire shorting to ground when the fuse blows.

2003 altima dash fuse blows when i put in reverse and alternator stops working

It is electrical, could be initiated by mechanical (shift lever mechanics are pinching a wire in reverse) or a shorted wire or solenoid in the reverse light system or transmission solenoid circuit. Need a detailed wiring diagram to determine path of circuit for that fuse. That is where you need to start. Try your local library or dealer for a service manual. Look Online also.

2003 impala keeps blowing rear parking lamp fuse

Same issue also when the fuse blows i looks my electric seat controls. I found the problem was underneath the hood underneath both the fuse boxes it was a power wire pinched under a plate that holds the fuse boxes on. This wire probably wore through after 140,000 miles of rubbing and being pinched. tell me if it works for you

Radio fuse keeps blowing in my 97 acura rl

The only thing you can do is to trace the circuits that are powered by that fuse. Nobody can do that online. I would recommend getting a wiring diagram if you are going to try to figure it out yourself. You will need a multimeter that can read amperage also.

Keep blowing fuses that control dash lights, chime and tail lights not brake lamps?

remove all the lights front and rear and try it if the fuse blows its a wiring problem, then its a matter of tracing and checking , time consuming, if the fuse stays ok there is another draw on the circuit, start checking ground connections

96 dodge ram 2500 tail lights and instrument panel lights quit working at the same time all other lights work help please!!!

Check your tail light fuse, on the dodge ram the dash lights and tail lights use the same fuse so if the tail light fuse blows your dash lights will go out to alert you of no tail lights.

2003 Pontiac Grand Prix - A/C not cool on driver's side

You would need to buy a factory service manual for that blend door diagram. Try eBay for a used manual set.

No parking lights, fuse keeps blowing.

There is a ground not connected or a wire open that is causing it to blow
