Question about Dayton G73 Utility Heater

1 Answer

Heater location I have a 20 by 20 garage. Can this heater be ceiling mounted in the corner of the garage, with the heat direction blowing straight forward and still adequate heat the garage? My only other option would be to use the single bolt mounting application, and change the direction of the airflow to the center of the garage. However, a single bolt application concerns me with a 20lb plus heater. Any idea of the length of lag bolts to be used with this heater?

When the heat is turned on only the passenger side gets warm. All the vents (defrost, vent, and floor) on the driver side only blow out cold air.

check the actuator motor on the heater. It is on the bottom of the heater inside mounted to the heater box. The motor moves the arms on the heater doors and directs the heat.

Why won't my heater in my 2001 chevy suburban wont blow hot air

The heater control operates a valve in the engine compartment allowing an adjusted amount of hot engine coolant to circulate thru the heater coil located in the heater fan box. If the valve is stuck in a closed position it will not let heated coolant pass thru the coil. Most often on vehicles with some age, the heater coil gets clogged by residue from heated coolant. If this is the case, try to back flush the heater coil. I have used a small pump and a coffee canister for a reservoir and attached temporary hoses and flushed a mixture of water and a type of radiator cleaner thru mine with much sucess. Try flushing for a few hours in one direction ...then, switch the hoses and flush in the other direction. It takes awhile , but is much cheaper than buying and installing a new heater core.

Installed my second Fahrenheat FUH 724 7500W heater in another garage. Installed same as previous heater that works perfectly. used 10 Gage wire and 40A 240V breaker (2-20A). Wiring is correct. Heater...

Could be either. But, I suspect that wiring is getting hot enough to trip the breaker. Check all of your wiring to see if there is a hot spot or insulation melted.

Hi,my fridge is not defrosting.what could be the problem?

First, you have locate the defrost timer which may hidden behind corners of the fridge at the back bottom, in some models located in the ceiling of the fresh foodsection or behind the cold control cover. Once you locate the defrosttimer, slowly turn the screw like wheel in the middle of the defrost timer witha straight screwdriver until the fridge shuts off. Now it's in defrost. Ifthe defrost heater(s) starts, replace the defrost timer and defrostthermostat. If the heater(s) does not start, unplug wire cord to check ohm test for continuity of heater. If continuity is there, plug cord wire which gives power 120volts (check specification) to heater. If heater no starts, bypass defrost thermostat by join the 2 wires in thedefrost thermostat. If the heater now comes on, replace the defrost timer anddefrost thermostat. If the heater itself is bad, replace it. Thanks and hope helpful.

Hello I have a Fahrenheat Ceiling-Mount Industrial Heater 240v rated. Can I use a 220 plug to wire it and connect it to my 220 aux plug in my garage? If so how should I wire it to the heater itself?

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

you will have to install a 30 amp breaker, and make sure the wire is rated for 40 amps, or 110% of 30 amps, you can wire direct to the heater if you wish.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Rate/Vote on my response. We take the time to answer your question's. take the time to rate us.Thanks and good luck

Laser 30 model won't heat my 24'x24' Garage?

heating and cooling is rated in btu.or could be watts.for your space to be heated quickly to say 70 deg f. you may need a heater with a rating of 36000 will heat u up then shut off.if you use a smaller heater it will take longer to heat thus using more energy for the same results.
