Why can't I connect to WiFi?

Did you try "power cycling"? That's geekspeak for "unplug and plug back in." Actually, unplug it and wait 10 seconds before plugging it back in.

Beyond that, the only other vanilla troubleshooting step is to do a "factory reset"; you can get the steps for that from the model or by googling "factory reset" and the model of your router. WARNING: a factory reset is a pain in the a..., because you'll have to reconfigure your router, then reconnect all the devices that use it.

What kind of router do you have? Please tell us manufacturer and model number.

Where do you see "err problem not resolved"? Does your router have a display on it?

Hi Joel. Welcome to FixYa. I'll be happy to help you resolve this problem. First off, have you tried a hard reset of your router? If not, try this first and let me know if this "unbricks" your router. A hard reset involves the following steps:

1. Disconnect the router from UTP cables (modem, ethernet to pc if hardwired but not the power cable).

2. Push reset button for 30 secs.

3. Without releasing reset button, disconnect power cord.

4. Hold the reset button for another 30 secs.

5. Replug the power cord.

6. Still hold the reset button for another 30 secs.

7. Release the reset button and give the router about 10 secs to resettle.

8. Disconnect power cord for another 10 secs and then reconnect.

9. The router should be in factory default settings now.

Let me know if this solution fixes your problem. If not, send me a comment with the end result and I'll be happy to troubleshoot some more to resolve this. Thanks for using FixYa!

Power light only glowing

Do you have any computers directly connected to the router, or are they all wireless? Are any computers able to connect to it? Have you tried to reset the router using the reset button in the back of it (where the LAN ports are located and power cable)? This will reset the router to the factory defaults and will usually resolve most issues but it will require you to reconfigure the router.

find the software for your Router. fallow the instructions and it will say name, password, ect.
or (this is if you have a desktop to) take the plug thats pluged into the back(it may not be in the back it depends on your computer) and plug it into your laptop.
Hope this helps!!

First, try to reset and reconfigure the router. If that doesn't resolve the issue, you must update the firmware of the router. After updating the firmware, it is recommended to do a hard reset. Hold the reset button at the back of the router for 20 seconds, then unplug the power cable for 20 seconds and plug it back in. That should resolve the laggy issue.
