Tubes or pipes must have been broken. You need to check for leaks on freon gas as well as this is the main element that acts as coolant for the fridge,

I would suggest that you bring it to your nearest service center since any leaks could also be harmful to health and environment.

Thanks.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, this normally would point to the fan not spinning. The function of the fan is to draw the cold air from the freezer and force it through the vents to the refrigerator area. Even having said this, the fan is activated by the logic controller based on the the thermostat setting of the refrigerator and condition of the door (it must be closed).
To check:

  • fan - open the door, locate the door switch, press on it, light should go off, fan should kick in within 60 seconds. If not, faulty fan, fan relay, or controller. Alternately, you can measure the continuity of the motor's coil and or if there is voltage going to the terminals of the motor;
  • thermostat refrigerator side, you would need to use a continuity tester or have an electronics shop perform this. At room temperature the reading should be low, and should go high when the probe end is submerged in a glass of cold water.
Alternately, it may be the vents, flaps or vanes that are stuck, clogged, blocked and hence no air flow from the freezer to the fridge side.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Check if the fan inside the freezer works. It should be "on' at the same time when the compressor is running.

Check if there is frost on the back panel in the freezer.............

Fridge and freezer work great but always runs and blows cold air out the bottom

PLEASE TRY TO SWITCH OFF THE MAINS AND UNPLUG IT FOR 20 MINUTES. THEN TURN THE COOLER CONTROL THERMOSTAT TO MINIMUM BOTH IN THE FREEZER AND THE FRIDGE. THEN SWITCH IT ON AFTER 20 MINUTES. IT SHOULD BE FINE. THIS HAPPENS DURING WINTER.

GE monogram zis420d refrigerator is not very cold, but the freezer is fine

Usually the air transfers from the freezer to the fridge in the center of the back of the fridge and freezer areas. they are easy to identify, make sure the vents in both the freezer and fridge are not air flow blocked preventing cooler air from transferring to the fridge.

Your refrigerator is made by frigidaire it sounds like your damper is opening up if your freezer cold and the fresh food compartment isn't.

Maytag wide by side MZD2667HEW freezer works fridge does'nt

Was it the damper control you replaced and it's still not adjusting the vent(damper)? And is the cold air from the freezer being blown through the vent by the fan in the freezer.
The circuit board mainly controls the defrost timing and the fans. I don't know that it would solve your problem.

Freezer works, fridge part does not

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp ..

Freezer fan not working

Peace Friend,
ngfam1 At your service!

Ready?
If the freezer is cold and not the fridge, you need to make sure the freezer is filled to the top and covering the cod air vents and passages usually found in the rear or bottom rear of the freezer!
If they are blocked or covered whit packages the unit will not be able to transfer cold air to and from the fridge!
Yes, they share the air in most refrigerators!

What type fridge,model and age?

If not only a trained tech can make the electronic diagnoses.

Maytag fridge

Without knowing the type of fridge(side by side, freezer on top etc.) all I can offer is this: Somewhere between the freezer and the fridge there's an opening thermostatically controlled to transfer cold air from freezer to the fridge. Most have a fan to move the air. So either the fan (if so equipped) stopped, and need to replace, or opening is stuck closed, or plugged.
If freezer is working fine, this is the only problem I can think of.
Hope this helps
