Truck won't turn over. Has battery power and fuel but won't turn over.

Was driving to work when the engine acted like it wasn't getting gas when i tried to accelerate from a stop sign. A few seconds later it died. It has power and fuel but the engine won't fire up.

SOURCE: 1990 dodge dynasty

Same thing happened to my '89 Dynasty. Turns out the security system was engaged and this stops the motor from running; therefore. a thief cannot drive away with the car! The system is set by using the power locks or an autolock fob, but not by locking manually. Disconnecting the battery will also engage the security system. To disengage, close the driver or passenger (front) door and turn the key in the lock.

SOURCE: 2004 Dodge 2500 diesel loses power while driving.

I would remove the tank and check the rubber hose that comes from the fuel pump to the top of the tank/gage mechanism, if there is a crack in the hose it would explain why there isnt much fuel being delivered to the motor, since it will be partly sucking air.

I think there is a wireing harness running from the passanger side front of the engine accross to the inner guard then to the firewall, try bending slightly in diffrent spots while someone is cranking the motor. There is a wire in there that brakes & will stop it running. It happened to me & the mtor was cutting in & out but managed to keep it running till I got to wrk but once turned off that was the end of it. Mine is a 99 rodeo with 6VD1 3.2 litre engine

1993 nissan pick up won't start

Possibly a bad connection on the positive side coming from the battery or a weak ground. Check where the leads join the terminal clamps. Has the battery been verified as good? It doesn't take a lot of amps to run lights but it does to turn over the engine. Jump starting it does not require a fully charged battery.

Seems to me you have a short to ground what you can do is unplug the fuel pump connector then replace the fuse to see if it still blows if it does not then you need to replace the fuel pump and sender if it does blow then you will need to trce the wire back to the fuse panel to see where it is shorted ....

2004 Blazer runs normal cold start, plenty of power. Bogs down after warm up, diminishing power, won't go. Catalytic Converter? What is temp sensitive could bog engine down?

The Catalytic Converter is one possibility, but not likely. If when the truck bogs down, and stalls out, this could be more related to a fuel pump issue. If on your truck the fuel pump is located inside of the fuel tank, then once the pump heats up, this would happen. Acting as though it's something electrical, but it's really not.

My first thought would be: If you repaired an emissions hose, take the car back to Auto Zone (or another parts supplier) and let them tell you what code comes up now. You eliminated one problem, now you have to find another.
I wouldn't do a fuel pump without more information.
