Problem my laptop is a victim of software counterfeiting... the copy of windows did not pass genuine Windows validation..... do i have to restall the operating system,,, or something else can be done to solve this problem of mine....

You need to contact microsoft customer service to validate that you are the legal owner of the key.

umm, dont validate it then. or call microsoft and have fun with there tech support guys .But maybe you read the wrong serial # theres 2 of them on the tags of pcs and laptops

it only means that the software or windows you have used is a counterfeit, when a windows update itself thru the internet it download updates for it, now these updates only runs on a genuine windows, your o.s did not pass its validation test, better have your windows reformatted and installed a genuine copy,

you have a bootleg copy of windows. you will need to reinstall windows or you will not be able to update.

You may be a victim of software counterfeiting.


Just click validate,enter the activation # and reactivate.
It does this if the activation file gets damaged,or if using pirated software.(if this is pirated software,you will need to get a genuine copy)

It might be a pirated windows version.Contact the vendor and check for the serial number of the disc provided to you.Please do rate If this could solve your problem.

This sort of issue takes place usually after windows updates
Therefore the best solution is to uninstall the recent updates on your computer and restart again.
