Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Scanner Model is Kodak i4200. Whenever I scan a document in Color Mode the background is filled with BLUE color. This doesn't happen when I scan in B/W mode. Can you please help ?

If you are talking about a blue tinge Try turning on background smoothing in the driver under adjustments that may sort it or adjust the brigtness and contrast a little if that doesnt solve it Image calibration is the next step you will need to contact Kodak as its not a user function

When I scan a document to my computer it comes with blue background

This is usually caused by the white balance being on manual instead of automatic. You can correct it on the scanning applet control panel (varies depending on your driver OS and version), or after acquisition in whatever program you use to manipulate the image.

Also (rarer) it could be caused by a yellowing of the automatic white balance calibration strip which is under the glass, near the scanning head homing position.

When scanning color document, blue tone is present as background shade

Have long experince with PixEdit program using Kodaks. PixEdit usually comes around it after a firmware upgrade on the scanner. Not sure about this specific model but at least OK on other models of Kodak.

R 105 from my HP 5370 has burnt out. Replaced it with a 30E but it becomes very hot in a few seconds.
Read somewhere to remove C118, is this the besst solution?

Thanks in advance for answering.

Grayblue Background on scans

A color scan will give real output as it is. If the background is grey, the output will also be grey. If you select 256 Color output, there may be small change in color, as compared to the original. If you select grey output, all colors will be converted to Grey. If these files are converted to PDF, it will be same, except in ODF format.

If you select B&W you can save the file in TIFF format. Unlike grey or color, each pixel can be either black or white only. To scan in black and white you must select right brightness. By doing os you can eliminate background (technically noise) and capture foreground(data)
