Your description of the problem is not clear.

Often, print nozzles on inkjet printers get blocked and don't behave as they should, leaving lines (no ink deposited) across a picture. Given that, I don't know what you mean by I HAVE TRIED TO LINE THEM UP BUT IT WONT. Please explain.

Failure to feed paper is a completely different problem - please describe the symptoms in more detail.

In view of barbarah-rei's lack of interest in this problem, I think we may declare it "solved by poster"

I keep getting vertical lines on my photos when printing. i have done all the head cleaning ect and they are still there! any advice? x

This sometimes happens if you print on paper with the printer installed for other media.

Some printers have fixed printing heads (like epson) Other brands like HP have heads integrated in the print cartridge. When you buy new ones the print heads are new as well. The problem with fixed heads is they tend to get stuck after a while usually after a long unused period. Once they are clogged the cleaning method will no longer fix the problem and you get a tiny line where the ink no longer flows. I once opened my epson when I had this problem to get to the print heads. Using Isoprophyl Alcohol in a syringe you can reach all the inner parts and clean it with cloth. Buy some latex gloves and plastic foil because this is a very messy job. Once cleaned you have to screw everything back on to see if this worked. Use the software driven cleaning method until you get a good test page. If this wont work you're in the market for a new printer.

My Epson DX4000 Printer keeps getting paper jams and wont print

still printing but the paper goes no further?. It may be the paper is locked by paper feeder mecahnics, Open case, check it, and may be there is something "material" broke.

Epson 2200 - vertical lines

I don't know if this will help as my printer is a different model (the epson stylus photo r280) but I have been battling the vertical line issue for weeks, ever since getting a new imac. I am printing altered photos from photoshop on epson ultra premium matte photo paper. After trying every conceivable setting, and spending an hour with less than helpful tech support from epson (where they insisted I needed to download new drivers) I just resolved it this morning at last by increasing the dpi setting on the print function to beyond what I would normally use(1440x 1440 rather than what I had been using at 720).

The prints came out great at last!

On my older computer with this same printer the prints came out fine at the lower setting. But for some reason it appears that the higher setting is now necessary to eliminate those dreaded lines.

I hope this helps.

Epson DX7400 only printing Blue + Black

I'm sorry you have received no response on this , it's probably because you have posted it in the C86 printer group rather than the DX7400 group. I presume you have now solved this problem. If not, please re-open it (in the DX7400 group) for help.
