My 5 year old washer makes a squeaking sound

If the washer is making a loud noise while the drum turns, the rear drum with bearing might need to be replaced. On this washer the bearing might not be sold separately, the entire rear drum might have to be replaced. This is a very involved repair and will require disassembling most of the washer should it be the bearing. This work will need a technically minded person to accomplish.

LG Wash WM2487H*MA- how to turn the tub clean feature on?

I have had this problem since I bought my washer. Some days the tub clean cycle will work....most days it won't. They have replaced the main board twice and it's still broken. I've had nothing but bad luck with LG appliances. Also bought a lemon fridge that took 4 repairman visits to fix. I will not buy another LG anything!!

LG WM0642H Sounds like a helicopter durning Spin

It sounds like the machine is not balancing correctly. My guess is that if you operate the machine empty (no clothes inside) that it will operate fine. If so, then the machine is not balancing correctly.

Normally an error code should come up if there is a balance issue (UE error). If this code is not coming up then the machine thinks it is balanced when it really isn't. This means that either the hall sensor is sending out incorrect data or the main board is not interpreting the data correctly. A technician should be able to ohm out the hall sensor to see if it needs replaced or the main board.

Hope this helps, please rate my solution.

LG Wm0642H door seal problem

I replaced the seal on my mother-in-laws LG washer last month. The seal has 2 bands. One that the attaches to the drum, and one that attaches to the front of the washer. The hardest part about replacing the seal, is gaining access to the seal. Once you gain access to the seal, it can be a little tricky getting the bands back on, because you have limited area to work. There is no special tool or tricks to get it back on, just persistance.
