Question about Sony Ericsson Cell Phones
When i press the red start button to put it on, It does not start or display anything on the screen but rings without stopping even if i try to press the button again to stop it. When i remove the battery it stops ringing but the problem continues when i put the battery back. I therefore can't call or receive calls.

Sounds like the phone may have gotten wet. Check behind the battery for a white circle sticker, it will be red if the phone has gotten wet. Best of Luck.

Try leaving the battery out overnight. Then put back the battery in and try to turn on. If this didn't help, then your phone's software needs to be flashed.

I took my phone into my local carphone warehouse and they sent it off to sony ericsson for free!
First of all they accidently replaced the microphone as the description the woman in the shop provided them was unclear.
However, they were very apologetic in the shop and sent it off again.
It works perfectly fine now, and only took around a week.
Tip: make sure you provide a very detailed description of what is wrong with the phone and check that it it working when you get it back before you leave the shop!

I brought my phone in to my service provider and they removed the battery and sim card (because I was unable to turn of my phone with the power button) and rebooted the phone. It's all good now.
