Hi,
It could either be a software problem or a hardware related issue;
1. check the keyboard workability in safe mode, if it does not work in safe mode, you would need to get it replaced. However, if it works, then that would mean that it is a software issue in which case you would need to either try system restore or operating system reinstallation.
Also, you have not mentioned which key(s) are non-functional. if it is just number keys then you would need to ensure that the num lock key is on (by just pressing it once).

regards,
Musheer

Keys not working

Either the keyboard or the ribbon cable connecting the keyboard to the mainboard is damaged or not fully connected.

The most likely problem is the keyboard is defective. They are not very hard to replace. In most cases you have to remove the button cover above the keyboard and then the screws for the keyboard will be accessible. You can get a new keyboard off the Internet (EBAY or such) or direct from HP.

One of my number keys wont work its the number one key all the rest are fine

It is probably due to some food or small particle you can see sticking the keyboard. HP website help topics has instructions for "How to clean a keyboard" and I think wikipedia how-to has a very clear step by step "how to clean a laptop computers keyboard"

Do you get spare keys for the hp 530 if so how much would it be for a F11 key.

You could try ebay and buy a used keyboard inexpensively - the keys usually lift off to remove by prying one edge til they pop loose and to install simply press down.

Function keys are not working like refresh (F5), UP key, some numeric digitlike 5,6. I have a Lenovo 3000 N200 laptop. Please help me sort out this problem.

this might be a keyboard problem for dat u can't help it except chnaging the keyboard...
and if u think keyboard is fine, then there might be some spyware infection. This generally occurs & blocks function keys, mouse's right click etc.
for that try to scan ur system from a well known anti virus. else try tune up utilities. and if this doesn't works, try to repair ur operating system by insterting the disk & select repair.
Dont worry, repairing wont affect ur files on the drive.
hope this works. if u like my post, Please rate me, i really need some good ratings..
Thanks

My Laptop touchpad's button has been cracked and i want to fix a new button

Laptops keyboards are all one unit. You cannot replace an individual key that I have seen. You'll have to order a new keyboard and replace it.

How to refix key of hp 530

you may try to put it back again by try it but it seems not work since you post uyour question here.

here is some risk.
Download the product manual from the hp support site.
read the instruction how to remove your laptops keyboard, after remove fix it, and reinstall it again.

but it pretty risky because i suggest you may want to do it with people who had experience with it.
but my first time i do it myself there was no problem at all. just follow the manual instruction.

Keyboard's keys sometimes don't respond

It is not a driver it is a keyboard that is having troubles itself unfortunately, you can try to find new one on eBay since that ones printed wires sort of are broken. What happens is that your keyboard pops out a little and disconnects some letters so you need to press in the middle to get it back to work, the same thing was happening to previous one.
