Did you get a manual?

I need the manual to figure out how to disable the onboard graphics card.

I have disabled it in the BIOS, and in Windows XP. I can get the new ASUS EAH4760 (ATI chip) card installed, recognized and working at the proper resolution. Then, when I shut down for the day and re-boot, when it passes the WinXP splashscreen, it goes to either an all-black screen or a black and blue vertical striped screen. I have to start all over, uninstalling and re-installing the cdrivers & card. My guess is that there is a conflict with the onboard graphics card. But maybe I am wrong. Is there a jumper or another way to completely disable it (the onboard ATI Xpress 200)?

The graphics card was defective. Returned it and got a new one. Works fine. Thanks.

I think no need to disable onboard graphics if you install a VGA it will automatically as a default. but if you need so just goto cmos setup and try to search the onboard VGA and desasble it.

Hi,

You can disable the onboard VGA card in BIOS, to do so
keep on tapping F2 button as soon as you hit the power button, under the CMOS search for VGA or onboard VGA and click Disable.

Thanks

Hi, I'm thinking about adding a GForce 6200 LE graphics card to the system, do I need to disable the on board graphics ? And how do you do that ? Thank You.

A Geforce 6200LE would work perfectly with that motherboard, all you have to do is clip it into the AGP8x slot and disconnect your monitor VGA cable from the onboard graphics and into the 6200LE graphics card. Once the Graphics card is inserted correctly and plugged in your sytem automatically disables onboard graphics as it is no longer needed.

Please rate me high.
Thanks.

Just plug in the Radeon video card in the agp slot and the system will automatically detect the new video card and disable the onboard-graphics.

When your computer loads, after you power it on, it gives you an option to go into the CMOS. You can disable integrated periferals there. If you don't know how, check your system documentation

Installing New Graphics Card. How do you disable the onboard GC?

To disable the onboard graphics go into your CMOS settings and in there you should find something that says Graphics choices should be onboard or add on or some other form. It all depends on who made your BIOS. As far as a sound card not sure.

Were are the jumpers to disable the on board videofor aopen mx3w pro-E

Why do you need to disable the onboard video??

If you have added a new graphics card it should automatically select this new card.

If it doesnt, you can go in to the bios and disable the onboard graphics card from there.

For example, Onboard graphics can usually be refered to in the bios as PCI, so if you've added an AGP card or PCI-E card then you would just need to select either one of these from the bios menu.

Not sure what bios your using but it may even have ann option to disable onboard graphics.
