Hello. I use my TV (Durabrand 12273) for gaming, and it has always worked for me fine with no problems whatsoever. However, last night when i turned the TV on there were white lines coming off of the images on the screen (like a shadow) and I know this is not meant to happen as it has never happened before. I have already tried changing everything in the menu but to no effect. I hope that somebody can help explain this problem and help me to fix it.

Re: White lines coming off of image...
If the set has contrast and brightness controls, try them but this problem is normally caused by a certain capacitor (I don't know the circuit reference number for this one) failing and it will continue to decay.
Any competent TV tech (if you can still find one) will know where to look.

yes , you need to be in GAME mode on the TV , since you don't have the remote you can still access GAME mode from the menu button on the front of the TV . you must be in GAME mode for your PS2 to work. thanks
Sometimes you can change the input by just clicking the channel button up >>> after the highest tv channel it'll go to Input 1, Input 2, etc. That's worked on one of my tv's but not all of them so it might work for you, too. Next suggestion would be to buy yourself a couple of universal remotes & keep them in a junk drawer for when you need one! We've found this PRICELESS!!! (Buy a couple when they're on sale & store them for those days when the remote was devoured by that oh-so-sneaky sofa!)
Go to radio Shack. They have Two universal Remotes that support Durabrand. I used the "3 in 1 easy to use " remote and my tv worked fine. It was only $5.99 and the other model was $9.99. Make sure they list Durabrand.
I have a ps2 also so just hook up the yellow and white plugs. It will work if you connect those 2 right but you must have a remote to turn it to game mode or no lucc. This is where i'm at right now trying to find my remote..hahaha
Your Having a Problem with the High Voltage Transformer in the Set,You can pull the Back off(Not Advised)And you will find two controls on the Flyback*The Flyback is the Unit that has a Red Wire coming out of it Going to the Top of the picture Tube, with the set on adjust the One contol that says Screen,Till the Picture is Normal....Good Luck
