First of all, log onto the router via LAN port, select my network, click on wireless setting and ensure the wireless is ENABLE then click save to save the new setting. Use your laptop to connect to your router. Once connected the light will lit green. At some point lock your network.

Hi dilex
The 2wire router wireless light comes only when a system is connected to it wireless.

Please post the system that you are using and also what exactly when you try to connect via wireless.

Thank you

Wireless is supposed to blink. Check to see if the power outlet might be giving out. If not, then you might have to replace the router.

Power Problem with 2Wire 2701HG-B

Sounds like a startup self test. All wireless devices go through a power on self test. Does it connect? You can connect to it and go online? I rarely turn mine off, only in a electrical storm.

All lights are green except the dsl one

It means your not receiving any data signal from your internet service provider, might be a line issue. Try calling your internet service provider like AT&T or Comcast or Verizon.

Hello, I have an At&t 2wire router and will not connect to my laptop....the wireless green light does not blink and cannot connect..

Wireless light will only lit up if there is a device that is wirelessly connected to your 2wire router ------------------
try checking this links:
changing wireless settings: http://support.2wire.com/?page=view&article=60
wireless configuration guide for windows XP: http://support.2wire.com/?page=view&article=224

wireless quick reference guide: http://support.2wire.com/?page=view&article=47
check the links out
---------------------------------
and if referring about the network key:
2wire wireless network key
The network key is located at the side of the router you will see a barcode on it. It indicated the wireless network key.
If you have questions please let me know. Thanks

Having problems with 2wire router that keeps dropping the internet. All light are on except ethernet, does this mean the router is no good. Recently replaced the power cord which helped for awhile.

how do you connect to your router? If there's no ethernet cable plug in on the router, the Ethernet light on your router is suppose to be off. Also try to move your router 2-3 ft. away from any electrical devices like wireless phone, printer etc. because of electromagnetic interference. It may help your wireless connection to be stable and faster.
