Re: I cannot burn or write CD's. Vaio PCN-9W2M
This has happened to me before. I had to uninstall my burner's software and then reinstall it. I had Microsoft working on it for days but it was taking them to long so I did my thing and that was over 2 years ago now.

Try putting the burned disc into another computer to see if it reads it. If not then it could be an issue with the disc burner itself. The laser could be going bad and that would cause the burner not to burn discs properly.
Place a blank media disc into the appropriate optical drive.
Click the Start button and in the Search programs and files field, type system repair disc , and then press the Enter key.
LoadImage('png60589.png','Block BorderSolid','','','Search programs and files')
In the Create a system repair disc window, click the Create disc button.
LoadImage('png61020.png','Block BorderSolid','','','Create a system repair disc')
NOTE: In the Drive field, the appropriate optical drive should have been displayed automatically. If your computer has more than one optical drive capable of burning to blank media, you can click the down arrow and then click to select a different drive.
When the Using the system repair disc window appears, remove the disc from the optical drive, follow the on-screen instructions to label the disc appropriately, and then click the Close button.
In the Create a system repair disc window, click the OK button.
You actually perhaps using a non blank disc at that time. Burners don't really accept non writeable Discs. Check your CD first before burning. If you are using a rewriteable disc (CD-rw) that has files, it can burn and files will be overwritten but if you're just using a CD-r with files in it, the burner will eject and will tell you to insert a blank disc.
