Hi,
If you are using the ups for a couple of year, one cause of not functioning properly is, battery need to be replaced.
Have it check by a technician.

Emachine w3609 will not turn on green light is on the motherboard nothing works i did the power drain and still does not work could the ps be bad or the motherboard or both

Yes to both of your questions.
When nothing works, I first unhook everything from the motherboard except for the CPU, video, and memory. Then turn it on. If you get the fan starting up and video, then hook up the hard drive and keyboard and mouse to see if it works. Lastly, hook up the CD--this is the part that fails most often.

My emachines EL 1200 desktop stopped working during bad storm

You can try to reset the computer by removing all power sources and letting it sit for a time. Then powering it back up and see what happens. That's called a hard reset.
I am guessing that the storm surge damaged your motherboard. The power supply is working or nothing would work. Try to hit the proper F key and get into the set up on the motherboard. A message should come up when you start up the computer. This is to see if your motherboard is working enough to open the set up. You can then tell it to reset to bois to factory settings.

If none of that will work, I suspect *********** board is bad and needs to be replaced.

I am sorry I don't have more positive information for you. But I hope that this will get you on the right track to solving your problem. Remember, this is only an educated guess. If you do find this helpful, please leave positive feedback for me.

Thank You,

Brian

Dell c521 seems to be wil not launch

Try to completely turn off the computer by pressing and holding the power button for at least 4 seconds. Disconnect it from the mains, wait for a few minutes and the connect and try to power on. If this alone helps, you might be right that it is not properly being awaken from sleep mode. If so, check your settings in Windows and perhaps look for the newest drivers here. See to it that you have the latest Windows updates as well. If you are using Vista, this is a common problem prior to Service Pack 1, so you would want to download and install SP1, if this is the case.

If you don't succeed with the first solution, you might have a more severe problem.
Depending of the configuration of your machine, you might have an internal graphic solution or as an add-on card. Connect the monitor to the appropriate connector on your computer. Make sure that you only use EITHER the digital OR the analog cable, and not both at the same time.

Good luck, and let me know if the above is helpful or not so that I might research some more.
