How to restore my D620 to factory settings without a CD?

Hello there!

Well its impossible to restore any of todays laptops without their factory os dvd/cd. You could setup new operative system and make your laptop simmilar to what it was on factory settings, or you can search dell to send you that same cd/dvd on your post mail to your house.

I suggest you read http://www.dell.com/ and contact them in order to solve your problem. Hope i helped you! =)

Sincerely

How do i restore to factory settings without disk?

I assume you mean factory installation. You need the disks. Unless there is a recovery partition, unlikely on this model. Alternatively you could find an oem windows xp home or professional depending on what coa sticker is on the laptop and install that.

How to start my dell latitied d620 builtin camera

Did you recently reload Windows? It sounds like you don't have a proper driver or utility program for your camera.
Dell has a great support site. First find your Service Tag #. It will be on the bottom and is black with white letters. Go to www.dell/support.com. Enter the service tag number (not the model #), you will find all your drivers and support that you need.

Dell latitude d620 needs factory restore

Apparently your model of laptop doesn't have a recovery partition. You're going to have to get out the Dell Operating System CD for your laptop, boot to the CD and reinstall Windows the old fashioned way. Make sure the product key on the laptop case is handy.

Hi..this is such a simple question..could be embarrassing.Have just purchased an Acer5920 and have been attempting to transfer files from mobile to laptop via infrared.. I didnt have to enable or change...

Yes, you would have to enable the IR port in the boot setup screens.

When booting the laptop, press F2 or F10 or DEL, there is usually a hint in the top right of your display just as its starting up.

Once you enter the setup screens look for your IR port and toggle it to enabled.

Let me know if that doesn't work as you may need to load the drivers for it in Windows.
Go to this PDF file
and then scroll down until you see this entry below:
Consumer Infrared Driver Ver. 7.1.64.1010
Click on the blue entry below it to download the zip file. Once you have downloaded it move it to a unique folder such as:
c:\software\acer\ir driver\
Now, double click on the zip file to unpack it. Click on the folders until you reach the readme.txt file and open that for instructions.

Contact me using the comment box below to ask any questions that may come up. Once you have completed this and have your IR working then, and only then rate this as Fixed.

Regards,
Worldvet

MY Garmin 405 wont download data. It make the connection and gets to the tarnsfer point then "transfer failed. I've one route downloaded last week but none since. I tried: resetting both...

I got the same issue and it was because of a software update to ANT+ agent being not compatible with the 405.
here is what I got from Garmin Support.
This solved my problem:
There is currently an issue that has been identified with the latest
version of the ANT agent where it will not transfer data to the computer
from a 405cx. To resolve this please follow these steps
1. If the device has paired it will need to be removed. Right Click on
the ANT agent, select Device Settings then click Remove Device.
2. Right Click the ANT agent and select Exit to close the ANT agent
3. Go to the Control Panel, select Add / Remove Programs and uninstall
the ANT agent.
4. Reboot the computer
5. Download the previous version of the ANT agent from http://www8.garmin.com/software/GarminANTAgent_221.exe
Run this file once it has downloaded
7. Turn on the pairing on the watch ? to do this go to Menu > Settings
> ANT+ > Computer > Pairing (on).
8. Enable pairing on the computer - right click on the ANT agent icon
and select Pair With New Devices > Enabled (this may already be enabled)
The Forerunner and computer should now pair, please be aware that it can
take several minutes for the computer to find the watch.
