Red ring is not the only problem with Microsoft Xbox 360. This amazing device also has some more common problems like Audio , video/Picture problem, disc read error etc. Microsoft is providing extended warranty only for red ring problem. Means you will have to spend some money to get this problem repaired also if you plan to send your xbox to Microsoft, you will have to wait for 3-4 weeks to get back your favourite Xbox. There is one more option in the form of DIY guide, this guide explains solving No Video problem with step by step instruction, so any novice can fix this problem.

Iv had an n64 before so i think i have a good idea of how to set it up. i've managed to tune my tv in to find where abouts it is but there's only a black screen.i can turn the n64 off an the tv screen goes...

Adjust the vertical or horizontal hold controls. This is helpful even if regular TV stations come in fine. If your TV has an automatic fine tuning control (called AFC or AFT), turn it OFF. Use the manual fine tuning dial to adjust the picture. If turning OFF the AFC/AFT causes your TV to display in black and white, then leave the AFC/AFT ON. Slide the Power Switch on the Control Deck to the ON position. While the control deck remains ON, turn the TV off for 10 second then back on again. This resets your AFC/AFT so that it will tune in the signal from the control deck.

Move your control deck farther away from your TV. If the control deck is too close to the TV, the control deck may cause some interference.

Mylittle brother has just bought an n64 but were having terrible trouble tuning it into the tv,he has 2 leads with the console,1 lead goes from console to power supply the other goes from console to...

Ok, with the 3 coloured leads, this is an A/V or audio video lead. You should have 1 yellow, 1 red and 1 white. They simply plug into the corresponding ports on the TV. Also with A/V you don't actually tune the telly into the N64, you simply change mode, for example if you have an LCD TV you can switch between, HDMI, component, A/V etc etc. You simply need to use your TV remote and change the mode to A/V and everything should be fine.

Hope this helps

My N64 isn't working. I put the game in and turn the power on but just get a blank screen. What do i do?

I would suggest checking all the leads are in properly and securely.

You may need to tune one of your unused tv channels to play it. Just turn the N64 on (with a game in) and tune the tv until the picture comes up. If this does not work then you might want to clean up the console and games by using a can of air to clean the dust or check the leads (especially the av/aerial/component).

Hope this helps

Nintendo 64 - sound not working on new TV

Because the 64 is somewhat old I would suggest getting an aerial splitter because the system may not be able to function properly with out it. Try it and see how it turns out. Or, if you don't mind, you could play that game on the computer if you have one. Download Project64 from:

Poor quality picture while playing ps2 games?

i think you should try other modes too like pal and others or in many tvs there is a option auto so the tv automatically select the best mode of color itself.....

Black and white and feedback

hi this problem usually happens if you have got alot of things plugged into the telly like dvd players this causes the interferance and can be solved by disconecting these other items.
Also are you plugging it into the telly via scart lead or are you using the av leads ie the different coloured ones.
If you are using scart fitting have you tried pressing the av button on the telly controll as if you are not on the right av chanell this will cause black and white pictures so give it a try also this is the same with the coloured leads let me know how you get on.
Make sure their is nothing in the conector at the ps3 end like a biit of paper or fluff as this can cause all sorts of problems and dont use your ps3 on carpet as it will cause unit to get to hot and will cause parts to overheat and will need replacing check all air vents are free from dust and make sure its on hard surface if the unit has overheated it will cost a fortune to repair
