Question about KitchenAid Superba Architect KSCS25INSS Side by Side Refrigerator
I vacumed the back and front but it still smells like burning rubber kind of. The odor seems to be coming from the fan area in teh back.
We have been experiencing this problem for a few days now. We thought it was a dead rodents somewhere and then we found out that it's coming from the back of the fridge. We just bought a new fridge thats was we were very concerned. Just checked this afternoon and found out that the problem is not the fridge but whats causing the smell is the outlet! its the outlet thats causing the bad smell. So please check it out. Cheers!

This is very unusual, most of the time
when I get complaints about odor it's form the inside of the cabinet.
This should be easy enough to solve though. The odor is likely from
dust accumulated underneath, or from something in the drain pan. If the
unit has visible fiberglass insulation underneath you should replace it
with new because, even if the source of the odor has been removed, the
insulation can still contain it.
Unplug the refrigerator, take off the kick plate and rear cover. Clean and vacuum the entire under- carriage, condenser, fan, and condensation evaporator tray.
Be gentle with the components though, especially the capillary tube ( a pipe about the size of a 14 gauge copper wire )
