I suggest to upgrade to Windows 7 instead of downgrading because Windows 7 has better performance than Vista. But if you still want to go to Windows XP you have 2 choices. The first is to format the drive where Vista is installed and to install fresh copy of Windows XP. Second choice is to install Windows XP as second OS and at the end of the installation, at activation step, you have to choose activation by Phone. Then you should call Microsoft Helpdesk and provide the code of your Windows XP to the operator and tell him that you need downgrading Vista code. Then he will guide you to the rest of the activation and the downgrade of Vista.
Yes you will get all the drivers here http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/notebook/as_4315.html However only Vista Premium and Vista Ultimate users can perform a direct downgrade. You can start a fresh installation from a bootable disk of WinXP. Be aware that this will replace the Vista with XP.
its visto computer only way to downgrade it to xp is to look for your drivers used in vista from manufacturers site to collect xp drivers. do get the drivers names u can use the acer download page to see what drivers for xp is needed.
I think you want to change the operating system from vista to xp, simply re-install xp operating system and it will work but before doing that do check if your model supports xp or not...if it does then you can check for the driver from www.acerpanam.com
You need to start windows setup straight from cd. To do so you may need to change the boot sequence from bios. You will also need a bootable windows xp cd (not the upgrade version). Setup xp as new installation. Ensure you can get all necessary drivers and software for windows xp.
Hint: Vista works fine if it has enough ram memory, and you wont lose your valid licence and all software provided with vista.
