MODEL R-8476

You may need to find a service person to check this for you, but it sounds like you may have a micro-switch for the door that has gone bad. I have run into this a few times and found that to be the cause. What happens is the bad switch causes a direct short when you turn it on and that blows the fuse to protect the rest of the microwave. Hope this helps.

Ge eterna m#em03000hbb01 micro wave runs for a few seconds, then all symbols in display light up,press clear,it resets then have to enter time,am or pm and date. will acircut board fix this?

Hi, we get microwaves all the time at my shop, look usually they cost more to fix than a new one. They usually have a limited life, I advise you to ask for a 'Quote" and go from there at least that way you know to repair or replace.

Flashing inside micro when turned on after a few

Make sure the inside is clean of all grease and the paper like screen needs to be removed and cleaned also. If the screen is burned it needs to be replaced. You can find one at an appliance parts store.

Can't remove the vent grill

Two problems found. The electrician that installed the micro. installed it incorrectly. The fan was supposed to be turned so that the exhaust would go through the pre-installed duct in the wall. To remove the grill, there is two screws on top of the micro. which have to be removed. The builder put in a deeper cabinet that covers the screws because it looks better. To fix it I have to drop the micro, take off the grill, clean it and all the grease off the micro., replace the charcoal filter, turn the fan so it will exhaust through the duct and reinstall the micro.

Heat doesn't come on in microwave

If you have the experience with discharging a capacitor and you have a (VOM) Volt Olm Meter. Unplug microwave, discharge capacitor, and check the resistance of the two thermal cut-off discs by removing the lead and set VOM to RX1. If you don't get a reading of zero, replace the discs. For part go to and enter your model number. If you found any of these suggestions helpful, please rate my solution. D. Lange

Egg cookers

I found the instructions
Sprinkle a few grains of salt on bottom of egg cooker. (Salt attracts microwaves and is necessary to help cook bottom of egg)

Break egg into egg cooker.
One egg in micro at a time.

Will fork piece yolk and white to bottom of cooker, three times. _ This is very important.

Line up notches on egg cooker lid and cup then twist until locked

Micro on High for 30 seconds

Let stand 10 seconds
If bottom of egg is not cooked turn egg over with a spoon and microwave on high for another 10 to 20 second or until cooked.

Water leaks into microwave oven

ok really if someone dareing enough to open the panel for microwave the shell i mean take to the porch let sun heat it for at least 2 days then go threw lightly wipe down insides of micro with water clothe to get water residue out of micro then place shell back on and screw down
once water gets into micro. its hard to tell how there performance will be after wards and putting a fan directly on a fan to airout wont help this will create other little problems like mold build up

the best thing is what i suggested at top you need a heat source to cook and evaporate the water inside which is the sun
