Hi merg2bay,
I`m also looking for a light tunnel but cant find it on projectordoctor.
Can you still see if there available for me and possibly post a link on here for me.
Thank You.
Nathan.

One possibility is that the Mirror behind the lense is dirty but I think that this also may be the light tunnel issue that I explained in a couple of other posts about the SP4805.
The buzzing noise is a broken colourwheel and the shadow could be a part of the colourwheel that is obstructing the light engine or it could be your packlight pipe ( tunnel with 4 tiny mirrors in it ) that was damaged when the colourwheel broke.
I do unfortunately not have the part numbers of the parts that I mentioned , but you could assist by opening up the unit and supplying me with the part numbers.
The colourwheel you will spot straight away once you've taken off the top cover of the Projector , the packlight pipe is situated right next to it - looks like a small tunnel that's got 4 mirrors inside it - takes the light into the light engine.
Once you've supplied me with these I can get you prices and places to order it from and will help you with instructins on how to replace them - it is quite easy to DIY.
It also depends what part you need because although the 3 models look similar none of the parts are compatabile with each other except maybe some body parts and the X1 and X2 share the same light tunnel but it would be a risk to assume that the light tunnel from a used model is OK. The only 2 models that share the same parts are the X1 and SP4800. The X2 is brighter and the SP4805 has a 16:9 native ratio.
