for Nokia Symbian OS can't read a SimCard,it will be go to Offline Mode by it self. Clean up the Sim Connector at the Phone, and make Sure your SimCard is not Damage. i recomended to you to try to using another Good Simcard for Testing your phone.
You need to have a simcard. If you already have one inserted, then remove the simcard from your mobile phone, then reinsert it back. It is usually found behind the battery. If you are still having the same error, then you might need to change your simcard.
you format your phone and losses all the settings for your packet data. you were not able to mention what carrier are you in or the simcard are you using.because we need to reconfigure it according to your wireless provider or simcard you use.
Try to look for a rubber eraser and rub it on the simcard interface. Also, I want to ask if you have dropped your phone which may cause the error. I would also suggest you to change simcard if you get the same error message so we can identify if the problem is on your phone.
Since your simcard is locked, insert your sim card into the phone and turn on the phone, allow it to boot up.
A message will appear on your screen saying "Sim card blocked please enter PUK (Pin Unblocking Key)..type in the PUK number this number will reset your pin code and you will be asked to create a new 4 digit pin for you simcard.
your mainboard is having a problem reading your simcard.....you will need to take the phone to a mobile service center and have them either replaced or reflash the phone to correct the issue.....hopefully it is still under warranty and the fault was not cause by you the customer.

hi the only one thing you can try without replacing the sim card reader is do you know when you put the simcard in if you push on the simcard with your finger so your pushing it down onto the contacts is fold up some paper so that it put pressure onto the simcard when you put the battery on as alot of times the contacts dont touch the sim card properly so putting some folded paper on top of sim card pushes it down onto the contacts properly. This solves the problem in most cases but it can be difficult to get right as if the paper isnt thick enough then it might not push it down hard enough to make contact. If after doing this it still dont work then this either means the sim cards no good but you could try it in another phone or it could be that the sim card reader is not connecting with the board properly and would need replacing. Make sure you check the contacts are clean on the sim card and the sim card reader to make sure this isnt problem. If you have not tried the sim card in a different phone then it could be the sim card is no good. Did this sim work in the phone before just in case the phone dont accept that network as you can get this message if this is the case.
Let me know how you get on and if you need further assistance ok
