Okay, what does that light indicate? (hard drive activity, power plugged in, battery, etc). It most likely indicates a faulty power supply or damaged battery unit.

With out the mode number can't really help. Remove battery and plug in AC Charger. Push and hold Power on button for 30secs. Then try powering up again.

If unit still fails most likely to be a System/Motherboard fault. If under warranty contact HP.

My computer went into hybernate mode and now will not power on. When I push the power button the batter light (orange) blinks for a few seconds and then stops. That's it. What does this mean?

hold the power button untill it goes off, or unplug and pop the battery
(in short get it all the way off)
plug in, replace battery and boot.
video drivers tend to have problems with waking up from hibernate
check your manufactures website and make sure you have the most up to date version.

No power at all even if i press the power button

Most likely the only thing wrong is the power button. Try to either replace the power button board or use a wire to short circuit the two points under the push button to turn the machine on.

Hi

You may need a new battery. I would download software to check the battery.

Does the computer start with the AC plugged in and the battery removed?

The power cable light on my Toshiba Portege 2010 flashes yellow/orange when the plug is inserted. Computer will not turn on (green light on power button doesn't even come up). Have tried: 1) starting up...

One thing could be that your A/C adapter has failed resulting in your battery not being charged. This would explain why you're experiencing the same symptoms w/ or w/out the A/C adapter.
