You need to remove the old gas and replace

drain gas line if you can get to the carbs use starting fluid
( remove spark plugs and observe also clean with gas and wire brush

also while you have the plug out put the metal side of the spark plug (where you woud turn with a wrench) and turn over with ignition switch
to make sure u are getting a spark

good luck and happy snow mobileing

I have a polaris snowmobile and it starts up great, idles fine, but after running it about 200 yards or for about 30 mins it dies and wont start up for 10 mins or so. What could cause it to do this,

The problem is the needle valve in your carb is partially clogged. It's not letting enough gas into your carb fast enough. You let it sit for 10 mins and it slowly fills the carb's bowl back up. Then you ride it and it empties the bowl of gas faster than the needle valve can keep it full and the snowmobile dies. Get the carb cleaned and it will fix your problem

1995 Pantera can't free rev, acts like it's starving for fuel

Hi guy, you told me alot just now. Clean your injectors well, snowmobile 2 cycles all smoke rather heavy for a few minutes after sarting so that is comon.Caused by the oil settling in the chamber after shuting off. If not for this the cylinders would freeze up being dry. You may have some bad oil in injector also if it sat for a time without being started. Just remember, never, ever use starting fuild to start WD40 works well though. Check your plugs for correct heat range and gap, again, 2 cycles are very touchy with this also. Make sure you have proper injection pressure as well as fuel injector pressure. Fresh synthic 2cycle injection oil and go cleaning should solve your problem unless there is major problems with frozzen rings.

sounds like the belt is wrong size. double check this, and if it is correct size make sure the secondary clutch is closing all the way.

1985 40 hp Johnson outboard wouldnt open up and

sounds like your mix is off and it's fowling the plugs. probably too rich. make sure the level in your carb bowls isn't too high. Really sounds like you should clean and bench set your carbs. Especially if a plug change helps but doesn't last, then it's got to be your fuel mix, or maybe timing.

Yamaha 570 exciter..wont start or run when cold

You need a richer mixture than normal in a cold engine. It sounds like your machine is too lean on the idle circuit. Turn the air screw in on each carb to richen it up. Also, verify the choke is working properly.
