How do i change the waste pipe on a Siemens SE25235 GB dishwashe?
My waste pipe needs replacing but it looks like I have to open up the machine to be able to access the point that the pipe joins the machine. The manual doesn't show how to do this. Do you know if i need to take off the side panel of the machine or am i missing something?
Re: How do i change the waste pipe on a Siemens SE25235...
Yes. the side panel needs removing to get access to the fill/water matrix. to do this, you need to remove 2 torx 15 sized screws underneath the white seal of the side panel. make sure you have unplugged the dishwasher and disconnected its water supply.
once you have access to the water matrix, place a towel or similar absorbant material underneath where all the pipes connect to the matrix (near the back) to prevent any spillages. the waste pipe is the same colour and texture right up to the connection on the matrix and is (i believe) the furthest from the door of the dishwasher. disconnecting the hose shouldn't be too difficult.

Sounds like the inlet solenoid is not working. It lets water in. It is operated by the control board. Either could be bad. You would need a schematic and a multimeter to check the solenoid. Dangerous voltages are present.
Pour some bleach into the stinky backwash. I know that this is not good for the environment but it will take the stench away while you get a new dishwasher. Sorry but you have plumbing problems out of my range.
Empty your food waste disposal
unit if your dishwasher's hooked up to one. If it's not empty, the old
food inside it will back water up into your machine. Check that your
sink trap isn't blocked by unscrewing it from the base of your sink if
you don't have a food waste disposal unit. Make sure your dishwasher or
any other appliances connected to it are not running when you do so.
You may have opened your
dishwasher's door mid-cycle before it's had a chance to drain. Check the
progress indicator on your machine's control panel. The structure of
this will differ depending on which Frigidaire model you're using, but
it should show the point your machine has reached in its cycle. If this
is the cause of the problem, close your dishwasher's door and let it
Inspect the drain pipe that runs
from your machine to your waste disposal unit or sink. If this is
kinked or has been squashed under another appliance or a base unit, the
waste water inside your dishwasher will be unable to escape. Check that
water can flow through your waste pipe freely.
Remove the bottom shelf from
inside your machine and take out the plate covering the filter area. If
you don't rinse your plates before you put them into your washer, food
debris could block your filter and stop water from reaching your
drainage pipe. You can unblock your filter with your fingers. Turn off
your machine's power before you attempt to do so.
If the program controller is able to set the program , then the machine must start up. Only if the waste water/drain is clogged will there be a flooding resulting in fault in the drain cycle.
So it is important that the machine takes in water before the program moves on.
It is OK to check the waste line. look for the drain pipe, remove the drain valve/pump and it will be clogged. If there is a sensor to this it can switch off the machine- as you have not mentioned themodel/make.
So remove clean/flush and reset. If not the program controller must be checked.
remove the kick plate below the door. youll see a white tray behind the kick plate. theres water in the tray thats activating a overflow switch. with a towel or 2 remove as much water from tray as possible. this will solve problem
