Question about Canon PIXMA MP760 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Printer error after replacing the large black ink cartridge bc1-3ebk my printer screen reads error turn the machineoff and on.have tryed this but does the same thing cannot get printer to go?

Re: printer error

Hi On the canon website has the solution for this at this link It says you have to disconnect usb cable and power adapter for about 5 minutes to clear the memory and then plug it up back again. Also, make sure ink cartridge is seated properly. Good Luck

Large ink spill. Printer no longer recognized new black cartridge.

You can perform the Tap 41 Cartridge Health Diagnostics Test: [applies to HP Deskjet 6800/6900/9800] (refer to 2nd video to understand how to read the printed pattern)

1. With printer power on, press and hold the POWER button.
2. Press the Cancel (X) button four (4) times.
3. Press the RESUME button (Down Arrow) once.
4. Release the POWER button.
5. The Diagnostic Test Report should print.

--- A good HP 93/95/97/99 color cartridge should display 600 good nozzles, while a good HP 92/94/96/98 black ink cartridge should show 672 good nozzles. If the results yield anything different then the ink cartridge is likely damaged and will need to be replaced. Refer to 2nd video on how to read the printout:

---- If the printer attempts to print the diagnostic test pattern (1 page) then the printer is generally considered operational and functional, if nothing is printed, but the printer attempts to print the pattern, then the tri-color ink cartridge is either empty, clogged or severely electrically damaged (black ink cartridge is not used). You can remove the tri-color cartridge, reactivate the tap 41 test and the printer will print the diagnostic test print in black ink (special "ink back-up mode").

Advent resetting ink levels

Hi There
Your all-in-one printer is designed to stop printing before quality is compromised. Make sure you always use KODAK Ink Cartridges. Kodak is not responsible for the compatibility or performance of non-Kodak brand ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges. To purchase KODAK Ink Cartridges, go to the KODAK Store.
To resolve the error, replace the black ink cartridge with a new cartridge:
  1. Turn on your printer.
  2. Open the access door. For printers with LCDs, follow the instructions on the LCD screen.

    NOTE: For ESP 3250 and ESP 5250 all-in-one printers, if the ink cartridges don't move to the center when you follow the instructions on the LCD screen, see Printhead and ink cartridges do not move to center with access door open.
  3. When the printhead stops moving, pinch the latch on the black ink cartridge and lift it out of the printhead.
  4. Remove the new black ink cartridge from its bag.
  5. Remove the protective cap from the black ink cartridge.

    CAUTION: Insert the ink cartridge immediately to prevent the printhead from drying out.
  6. Insert the black ink cartridge into the printhead.
  7. Press down on the tab until you hear a click.
  8. Close the access door. For printers with LCDs, follow the instructions on the LCD screen.

    NOTE: For more information on installing ink cartridges, see the Extended User Guide for your printer. Review Maintaining Your Printer - Replacing ink cartridges.
If the error continues, upgrade the firmware for your printer:
  1. Press the Cancel button on your printer to clear the error message. (If the error does not clear, contact us.)
  2. Upgrade the firmware for your printer:
    1. Locate and select the firmware download for your printer.
    2. Follow the instructions to install the firmware.
  3. If the error continues, contact us.

It sounds like you the chip on the black cartridge has been damaged and the cartridge needs to be replaced. When you refill in cartridges you have to be very careful to avoid touching the chip or the nozzle. Replace the damaged black cartridge. Sorry for the bad news.

Will not print. color ink cartridge light keeps

..."Open the ink supply andgently move the ink cartridges to the left. Then reach in to the rightside and you'll find a small (1/2 x 1 inch) sponge. Push it down andoff/on the machine. try it now. or ...go to where I found out more than I should know about Canon's and where I got my quote... good luck.

I have a kodak 5500 aio printer. I replaced the

Try the following:

1. Open the printer access door.
2. Put out both ink cartridges and the printhead.
3. Let the printer access door open.
4. Put out all paper.
5. Pull out the ac adapter at the back of the printer.
6. Wait 60 sec.
7. Pull in AC adapter.
8. Wait 30 sec. then turn on the printer
9: Wait for the error message: Printer access door open.
10. Close the printer access door.
11. Wait for the error message: Printhead is missing.
12. Open the access door and put in only the printhead and the close the access door.
13. Wait for the error message: both ink cartridges are missing.
14. Open access door, put in only the black ink cartridge, then close the acess door.
15. Wait for the error message: Color ink cartridge is missing.
16. Open access door, put in the color ink cartridge and then close the access door.

If the error is solved, do a firmwareupdate right now.

I just re inked my Epson styles Photo RX500. All the ink levels read low except Black. I removed all the cartridges and repeated the process.and, all the ink levels read low except black.I get a ERROR...

what is the error message? try to turn off and on your rx500. note for an epson printer it requires all inks inorder for it to function or else it will be on an off line state

My all-in-one printer A940 reads "error 50c" i have replaced both ink cartages what could b the problem?

Regarding the Dell A940 "Error 50c"....the user guide doesn't seem to mention "Error 50c". They do, however, mention a "Cartridge Error" on page 52 of the manual. They claim this means that the printer has detected a short circuit (fuse/resister) in the cartridge. As you may or may not have noticed in the manual, this is what they recommend doing about it:

1) Press Power to turn the printer off.

2) Lift the printer cover/lid (scanner unit) until the scanner support holds it open.

3) Turn the printer on.
The ink cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position unless the printer is busy.

4) Remove the color ink cartridge.

5) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.
If the error message displays again, replace the black cartridge with a new black cartridge.

If the error message does not display, repeat steps 1–3 and then go to step 6.

6) Reinstall the color cartridge and remove the black ink cartridge.

7) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.

If the error message displays again, replace the color cartridge with a new
color cartridge.
If there is no error message (indicated by flashing lights), repeat steps 1–3 and then reinstall both ink cartridges.
8) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.

If you get the error message again, while both cartridges are installed, replace both of the cartridges.

Basically, what they want you to determine is,....if the short circuit is with the "black ink" cartridge or the "color ink" cartridge and then replace the cartridge that has the problem.

You may have to buy a new cartrige.

Just installed Epson NX400 printer. Keep getting M88/69 "Cannot recognize ink cartridges" error. Tried re-inserting cartidges twice already and still same error. What next?

I found a solution to the same prolem that you guys have. I took the cartridges out and shook them horizontally, instead of vertically, with the large surface up for 3-4 seconds. Re-inserted them back in. Then I started seeing on the LCD "Recharging Cartridge". When it returned to regular copy screen, I turned the printer off and turned it back on. No more error message. It's been working for almost a day now. Try it to see if that works for you. Good Luck.

FYI. I just bought NX400 last Friday. The error message came on this morning.

Error check ink cartridge

Hi ,

As per the information provided by you it seems to be a hardware issue however u cvan try these steps .

Steps >

Take out the ink cartridges from the printer > without turning off the printer unplug the power cord > press # and 6 key together , now without releasing the keys plug in the power cord .

keep on holding the keys down until the machine turns off automatically .

after the unit turns on again it would do the allignment give a msg for insert ink cartridges . insert the cartridges at that time . and see how it works out .
