The most likely cause is the printhead is tootight.Pull the multiple copy lever on the right hand side back from "A"towards "C"..Keep trying that and it may fix the error code. Now find the real problem. Something may be obstructing the movement of the shuttle asm or the sensor on the shuttle motor may be bad or unplugged. I've never seen one become unplugged on its own but I have forgotten to plug it back in after having the shuttle out of the machine.

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

Where we get IBM printer model 6400 010 print head ?

Its not really a print head, its a shuttle assy, The shuttle takes individual frets are you looking for the frets or the whole shuttle assy? What ever you are looking for i would need the shuttle part# in order to get you the correct shuttle of fret.

Keep receiving "End of Forms or Forms Jam on device XXXXXXX"

The problem was due to a block/clogged EOF(End of Forms) sensor. I resolved it by using a can of compressed air to clean/remove any foreign debris from the sensor.

Hardware may be

first of all do one thing and that is keep your platen marked A,B,C in b or c position then start printer if it prints then it means your shuttle gets very much tight in position A, for that please switch off the printer remove paper and loose your shuttle and adjust your shuttle according to the movement of paper. also do one thing that is clean your shuttle senser also.

Verify that there is nothing clamped between the platen and the shuttle.

Last time I had this fault, it turned out to be a broken wire in the harness that connects the CMX board to the shuttle module.

Other possibilities include a failed shuttle or CMX board.

058 shuttle jam

Hi,
This can happen for a number of reasons.:-

a. The print mechanism needs to be adjusted ( You'll need a technician to do this if yu are not familiar.

b. Something is clogging the print mechanism, eg Old ribbon residue, or sticky labels etc.

c. The paper thickness lever is set to incorrect setting . Try adjusting it out .
