you could be draining the alternator and battery with the new stereo..depending on how you hooked it up you might try charging the battery back up.you were supposed to take off the pos cable not the negative
SOURCE: TURN THE KEY AND NOTHING, UNHOOK BATTERY AND WAIT START RIGHT UP?

SOURCE: anyway to hook up an amp power wire w/o unhooking battery?
There should be a large red wire going to your fuse box under the hood. You can put it there. You can unhook your battery also your computer should be fine. Think about it if everytime someone changed a bad battery they would have to go to dealer not true. What you have heard some older cars the computer can be reset by removing the negative. I take the positive off all the time on cars your age and have never had any problems
SOURCE: The ABS light came on and when I turned the truck
yergentiger93, i just had this problem like 2 weeks ago where i turned off my vehicle and this annoying sound kept going and going and going. Don't disconnet your battery, in the fuse box there is a fuse for your ABS. If i am not mistaken it is the first or second on the very top row. Remove it and BAM, that noise is gone for good. Of course though, you still need to buy the EBCB or ABS motor. DO NOT!!! buy it new or will cost you a fortune. You can buy it at a local salvage place used. I got one for 170.00 bucks and will replace the old one next week-end. I will keep you posted on how it worked out. I looked under the vehicle and looks super easy to replace, has connectors and a couple of metal hoses where you can use some crescents to loosen them up. Thought i'd save you some money and a head ache.
