you could be draining the alternator and battery with the new stereo..depending on how you hooked it up you might try charging the battery back up.you were supposed to take off the pos cable not the negative

SOURCE: anyway to hook up an amp power wire w/o unhooking battery?

There should be a large red wire going to your fuse box under the hood. You can put it there. You can unhook your battery also your computer should be fine. Think about it if everytime someone changed a bad battery they would have to go to dealer not true. What you have heard some older cars the computer can be reset by removing the negative. I take the positive off all the time on cars your age and have never had any problems

SOURCE: The ABS light came on and when I turned the truck

yergentiger93, i just had this problem like 2 weeks ago where i turned off my vehicle and this annoying sound kept going and going and going. Don't disconnet your battery, in the fuse box there is a fuse for your ABS. If i am not mistaken it is the first or second on the very top row. Remove it and BAM, that noise is gone for good. Of course though, you still need to buy the EBCB or ABS motor. DO NOT!!! buy it new or will cost you a fortune. You can buy it at a local salvage place used. I got one for 170.00 bucks and will replace the old one next week-end. I will keep you posted on how it worked out. I looked under the vehicle and looks super easy to replace, has connectors and a couple of metal hoses where you can use some crescents to loosen them up. Thought i'd save you some money and a head ache.

HOW DO I DIS ENGAGE THE SECURITY FEATURE ANTI THEFT MODE 2010 AVENGER

You can't disable it. Newer Dodges have chips in the key. Older Dodges you could lock the car down and open the door with the key to disarm the alarm. Try both doors. The latch sensor in one door could be broken. If still no luck, you'll have to get it on a scanner to read codes. Code readers don't read security codes.

Changinjg battery ? under back seeat

It's on the passenger side, you lift up the bench (bottom) after you push back on the bottom front of the seat-do one side at a time, unhook it from the bottom front first, after you get both sides unhooked it just lifts up and off. then it is just a matter of unbolting the hold down and the battery clamps-do the positive post first, then the negative side. when installing, hook up the positive side first, then the negative side-clean those battery terminals inside and out with a wire brush or emory cloth, modern cars need really good electrical connections.

Try opening and shutting the hood, and the doors, and the trunk, and activate the alarm, and then disarm the alarm,if this does not work, then the alarm system will have to be replaced, the receiver.

CAR ALARM

We have a similar problem - it doesn't go off when we open the door, but sometimes the alarm light stays on after we open the door and then when we put the key in the ignition to start the car the alarm goes off. The only thing we've found to shut the alarm off is to get out of the car and put the key in the trunk manually and open the trunk. Then after we've opened and closed the trunk, the alarm disables and then we can unlock the doors (which I believe is the step where the alarm disables) and then we can start the car without a problem.
