Question about JVC AV-32820 32" TV
A friend of mine gave me his JVC AV-32870 and said if I can fix it I can have it. The problem is the power button is missing. I stuck a pair of scissors in the power button hole and for a brief sec there was a click and the red on light came on but the TV didn't turn on. If I can get the TV to turn on I can use a universal remote to turn it on and off once I program the remote. Is this problem worth trying to fix and if so , how do you do it? Thanks for any help that I can get
I had a friend that had the exact same problem! We did use a remote to turn the tv on and then it was a matter of setting up the menu settings. It was trial and error, but it was worth it. As far as getting the power button replaced, I would recommend call and ask a TV repair person - but the remote worked just fine for my friend.
