Question about Philips MP3 & Digital Media Players

1 Answer

My tracks will not play in album order no-matter-what I try.

My Philips SA33XX has had problems with track listing, no-matter-what I try it always puts all of my tracks in alphabetical order. Even if I do this;"01 Airbag" etc.I've had it replaced twice and this is the third one I have received. I'd be extremely grateful if you could help me.

I have had this problem too, the only solution i have found is to delete all ID tags using Tagscanner (or other ID tag generator programs) and titling as you said above 01 Airbag etc. OR by tying all tracks together using albumwrap. I don't suggest this though as it is very difficult to rewind and ff.

what you need to do is go into the settings area of your player and go to play mode. There is can change the way your player goes through your files. Thank you for using Fixya. hope this helps.

Mp3 player dmp450n;stores and plays album tracks alphabetically, how do i make them play in original album running order?

Copy the album onto the internal media folder and then drag it again into the music folder. This means you are copying from an area on the player to another area. This will keep the track listing that you originally have for the album and means no change is needed to mp3 tags.

Will not play songs in ALBUM order

yes, this player is naturally alphabetical, but you can re-edit the track #'s in the id3 tag, and then retransfer the song to the goGear - should work

Playlist problems

The only way you can get the tracks to play in order is to rename them before you put them on the player.

eg.

Album title - 01 - Track name
Album title - 02 - Track name
Album title - 03 - Track name

Album title - 10 - Track name

and so on

The albums will stay together, and the track number will put them in order within each album. Just remember to use 2 digit track numbers or they will sort 1, 10, 11, 12, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9

I want tracks from alphabetical to album order...

Try renaming the tracks on your PC with a two digit track number at the beginning of the title, e.g 01 - Track name.

Re-load the tracks on to your player and use the album list to play them.

Set up the device for automatic synchronization in Windows Media Player (an annoying feature in and of itself) - otherwise the playlists will not transfer properly.

Order of track play

You have to re number or rename the mp3 tracks on your pc before you load them to your player, for example track1, track2 or queentrack1, queentrack2 and so on.

My lists are in reverse order

You have to delete those songs off the player, put them in reverse order in Windows Media Player, and then reload them to GoGear. I know it's a pain, but it is the only method that works.
