When one of my users are scanning a job (using the capture perfect 3.0 software), in the middle of the job the software will remain on a certain image, yet the scanner will continue to scan. Afterwards the scanner will pause as to allow the software to catch up with the images, then it will continue scanning. Any insight as to what could be causing this? Hardware or otherwise. This is dependent on your memory size. Increase RAM size. Like 'jackboy' suffested increase virtual memory. Close other programs. Ideally use a high speed computer like 'Core 2 Duo' or 'AMD Athlon 64x2' with 1 or 2 GB RAM. These machines support DDR2 RAM which is fster that older RAMs.

Increase the size of the virtual memory or add RAM memory to computer. Check the Technical Support team at Canon also
